Like HUGE RESPECT. Its incredibly hard to do that ingame
NG1nS [#3]what? where? give me info pls
Meteor doesnt speak japanese, so joxjo translates for the rest of the team in the game. Must be actuslly pretty hard to do that and make your own comms
NG1nS [#3]what? where? give me info pls
Everyone except Meteor speak japanese.
JoxJo knows both korean and Japanese.
JoxJo translates Meteors comms.
NG1nS [#3]what? where? give me info pls
Yinsu had an interview with xnfri and he said that 3 Japanese are communicating in Japanese while JoxJo and Meteor are communicating in Korean, where JoxJo also translates Japanese to Korean for Meteor at the same time.
SeulgiVLR [#10]CHAD JOXJO
igl
aiming
translating
communicating
he has so much stuff to prioritize and still dominates
There are quite a few of Korean playing for Japanese team. They are not literally "blind" with Japanese itself sometimes. The cost is, the Korean players need to learn Japanese, at least the basic. If you watch ranked games in Tokyo server, you will understand a bit how the communication goes (it's mostly between 3 regions: Japan, Korea, and China).
TMosura [#12]I think the closest comparison across games is TYLOO when BnTeT and xccurate is still part of the team. The rest comm'd in Chinese, xccurate occassionally comm'd in Indonesian with BnTeT and BnTeT translates it + some English
nice nice I also like Ben10
OMG this is actually insane a couple days ago i watched meteor's stream and i asked him does he speak japanese and he said i can understand a little bit then i asked him then do u guys comm in english? and he said no japanese and i was like did he not understand me or something and moved on
lmao and now i understand that it was actually a weird way to comm

Why only korean players imported? (besides a couple russians) I’m sure taiwan and the philippines have lots of talent that could move too

visa issue probably. i heard that it's hard to get visa in japan.
pitchfork [#19]visa issue probably. i heard that it's hard to get visa in japan.
its simple
orgs will sign proven players first
proven players come from amateur VCT scene
amateur VCT scene is full of korean japanese mix teams because koreans who play apac server usually play in tokyo or hongkong, and they get along
lots of proven korean FAs that come from T1 KR teams JP teams used to scrim
lots of KR players apply to japan team tryouts
in the case of NTH, the manager has korean connections thats why they always have KRs in their roster

Mostly are Korean, but actually there are some players from China (Xiaonuo, he used to play for DeToNator), Singapore (Kimmy, he plays for Westception), and also Philippines (JoshS & modeskiii, they play for SCARZ).

Actually its the main problem in a lot of teams in jp. The most successful JP team is zeta which don't have any language barrier(because all players from JP), and other teams should think about to fix communication problem if they want to grow faster and higher and have better results. Its either learn 1 language or have only jp players imo
Comms are very important in that game

Fast ingame calls all on english(positions, abilities, actions etc)
If only japan players in clutch they can talk only japanese to faster reactions, if only russian players in clutch they can talk russian
