DRX Detrimental problem up until now

how is their map pool looking?

one thing I have noticed is, every time they lose a match on international lan, they lose 2:1, never 2:0. and the last map is mostly never close.

1. Berlin: vs Gambit 2-13, 13-7, 8-13
2. Champs: vs Fnatic 10-13, 13-10, 6-13
3. Champs: vs Cloud9 10-13, 13-9, 11-13 <- (won both pistols on breeze)
4. Iceland: vs Optic 13-8, 11-13, 13-15(split) <-(5/6 of Optic's Split maps have been close/losses or ((13-11)+OT) including vs DRX)
5. Iceland: vs Zeta 11-13, 13-10, 4-13(split again)

the conclusion i have come up with is that their map pool has been weak, (so far on international stage) and its mostly blowout losses exactly on the third map, the exception being VS Optic last stage even though Split was a weak map for Optic. So they basically need to strengthen their map pool for this LAN to have a chance at the trophy.

I ask again, do you think DRX has fixed their map pool, on most maps? (even tho they haven't dropped a map after Iceland) because if so, DRX can go ahead and win it all.

DRX is a really confusing team u know....till the last tournament...I have heard so many times about how good they are and that they one of the strongest team in the world and every tournament they have been in they start good but once they loose a game...they just loose the whole thing and I have never seen them make a comeback run....VS/DRX seems to ride on momentum but they play like buffoons as soon as they lose the momentum

not map pool, mental gap. take vs zeta for example. split is generally one of drxs strongest maps yet they lost horribly. I can almost assure you that if they started off with split, the result if that map would be different. id go as far as to say drx has no clear weak maps atm

their comps are a lot better but i don’t think map pool is the problem. it’s their mental.

Umm I think their map pool improved decently. I wouldn't say significanty cause in 2021 their Ascent was very bad now it's really good. Their Haven was always really good cause that's their playground. Bind is still meh although they defeated PRX there just because they are their kryptonite. Split was always a 50-50 map for them. They play Icebox really well and their last 2 losses in Icebox were 13-11 losses.

I think DRX's weak maps should be Fracture and Bind. They have definitely improved their map pools albeit slightly. I think their main problem is their mental. They lose some rounds in a row and if it's close, their mental blows out and they will not be able to comeback. And yes as you said they always lose 2-1. Zeta too had less map pools but what they did better than DRX is they maintained their mental they played like they had nothing to lose which is why they made it 3rd in Iceland. DRX choke DRX's mental must improve because DRX are awesome when it comes to set plays and strats etc. But their mental is the one which just blasts and they fail to adapt to anything new that other teams bring at them ( Ex: Optic in Icebox vs DRX when they kept going mid for 4 straight rounds and DRX failing to adapt ).

disagree, split and bind are the only maps i believe they are not good bcs
1) split was one of their strongest map back on their 100W streak, after their first loss to f4q on that map, they started to permaban split until vct kr 2021 (before berlin)
2) for bind, idk they just seems like hate that map

i believe it's not abt map but their mental. drx has strong map pool (though we haven't seen much them playing on fracture internationally, except that loss from fnatic)

People keep saying that their problem is that their mental is weak. What a bullshit, they are just simply not as good as the fans think.

ever since masters berlin last year, drx had potential to win but always had a hard time mental wise.
I feel like when they start trailing map 2 they start to lose focus and just fumble the bag from there.

people are still managing to overhype them again this year it's crazy

DRX actually the team that chokes the most internationally i feel like they always start off so hot, then progressively gets worse.

I don't understand, why a mid team, who always finish in the middle, gets so much attention and analysis, while teams like Zeta and PRX gets so little talk. The early impressions of DRX created a false image in people's mind that DRX is some team that has legendary potential. But they proved 3 times, yes 3, that they are no where near what people think they has potential to be. After the first time, yes I still give them the respect and hope, but after 3? GTFO
