LCS is a completly different story
1.Phoenix 1 was a medicore successful team with lower medicore popularity vs Sentinels Na most decorated team and the world most popular team
2.2. league of legends is the undisputed top dog on MOBA while Valorant is only the number two in terms of FPS with a decent distance behind CSGO
this makes it very unlikely that riot will reject the most popular team
If you realy think Riot will denied NA most successful and most famous team and to give the slot to teams(nrg,optic.faze,xset.........) that no one wants to see then you should go to the doctor lol
what nonsense players like Tenz, sinatraa and shahzam are contractually bound to Sentinels
and especially with Tenz, Sentinels will have a protection mechanism built into the contract to protect the 1.5M they have paid for him
and why should riot put themselves through all this? as a whole, sentinels still delivers the highest viewership figures
the numbers clearly say Valorant viewers want to see Sentinels
and then give the slot to teams that don't even have 40% of sentinel's viewers
would be suicide lol
if they don't get selected, the valorant team will get dropped, they get paid very high salaries that will be impossible to maintain without participating in the league. Riot is smart enough to understand that they don't need the Sentinels org, they just need their players. It's not that hard to understand that Sentinels are 1 roster away from being irrelevant.
