optic is automatically through to Champs 2022 for winning Masters Reykjavic 2022 correct? So assuming Optic stays #1 in NA (and doesn't get overtaken by another NA team), that means #2 and #3 (currently the guard & cloud9) will go through to Champs 2022 right?

no thats not how it works this year, you don't automatically qualify to champs for winning masters
optic, however, are almost certainly qualified to champs (the only way they miss champs is if two NA teams get 1st and 2nd at masters 2 and OpTic goes out in NA playoffs early)

whats different, masters winners arent automatically qualified for champs?

no
optic are the guaranteed spot for na at champs (due to their massive circuit points lead from winning iceland)
the number 2 team at the end of this masters will take the second spot for champions
everyone else in the top 10 will participate in lcq

Unless a NA team passes up Optic by winning Stage 2, AND Copenhagen Optic is basically a lock for Champions, then whoever is no 2. (Guard, C9, someone else) will auto qualify, then LCQ would be 3-10 ranked NA teams compete to be the 3rd representative

No masters just gave optic 700 points which is basically an automatic qual for them but it’s from circuit points, not winning the event, so NA wouldn’t get an extra spot

they are, but the spots stay the same, na doesnt get an extra spot just because optic won, its still 2 + 1 from lcq

nobody mentioned extra spot, i think he means the LCQ spot as the 3rd NA rep

no i meant #3 spot without counting the LCQ just NA's pure slots. Someone already answered my question but thank you anyways!

It reads like he thought that #2 and #3 are automatically in from circuit points because optic won masters. (This is what happened to EMEA after gambit won masters 3). Maybe he could have meant c9 wins lcq but that’s how I interpreted it
