Guild is no joke, they are an insane team of mechanical players and arguably the best Haven team in the world, even Liquid got destroyed last Challengers.
M3C will be fine once they get comfortable with the meta in a few weeks.
GLN321 [#2]at what point does this become copium, serious question
Not really Copium when nAts a sentinel/controller is having to play smokes every map. He normally plays Cypher/Viper and occasionally Astra but now he has to play Omen, lurk etc...

you say "having" as if that wasn't their decision to change it, they weren't forcing into it, and he has been playing smokes basically the whole year...

Smokes is an understatement, he only plays Astra since this patch but always on Cypher or Viper. Derke struggled yesterday playing Chamber but its a welcomed transition that will improve them for their team going forward due to future meta shifts.

I get that but he has been playing this double role since the navi game, its been 2 whole months pretty much, and he did play the omen against g2 so its fair to say it had been in the works no?

They were never going to win Haven vs Guild. It was win Ascent, lose Haven and play decider on Fracture.

so they went into the series one series down? doesn't sound like a good sign, that's basically sentinels level of preparation

Not really, thats a fan perspective because of dominant Guild are on Haven. For reference, Liquid destroyed Loud in Haven yet they got destroyed by Guild 2 weeks ago.
CowboySG [#8]Valorant has never been more competitive. Every region has at least 1 viable team. On top of that EMEA and NA are extremely competitive regions in and of themselves.
Honestly a shame International events don't show more teams because there's
Considering there’s only 3 international events per year, riot should definitely invite more teams
people underestimated guild because of their early exit of playoffs but forget they a pretty good run in groups and were rated S on so many peoples' tier lists and favourites coming in to stage 1. i imagine they faltered last qualifier because of being a newish roster but theyve had a lot more time to prepare this time around and are definitely something to write home about, very strong stream with good individual players. first game of the event, anything goes. just gotta say gg go next
