Quality of the win in the sense how important a win is, like winning a master's event or winning a champions event

For pro play, yes definitely if an agent has numbers that make peak chamber look balanced, yeah she needs nerfs

However unlike Jett and chamber who were and still are top 5 in terms of ranked pick rate, viper is not that popular in ranked, at the time of this thread viper is the least picked controller besides harbour and her win rate isn't much better either, just look at astra for an example of what will happen, her pick rate wasn't great even at her peak, and now she's even worse, and Viper is even more niche than astra

Besides in most games below ascendant, PPL still have no idea how to play with or against a 2nd controller viper, i can't remember how many times I've gotten flamed for picking viper on a map that wasn't icebox or breeze or for throwing supposedly "troll walls" on those maps, hell even on Breeze or icebox 50% of the time I see An omen or clove on the other team and the only reason we have a viper is cause i main the bitch Harder than most diamond Jett mains💀.

While I will admit she's still op in ranked when played as 2nd controller, i will not dispute that, however riot are once again making the same mistake they made with Jett and chamber, Nerfing everything other than the OP part of the kit, with viper that would be the unpredictability and map influence of her wall, Nerfing the wall imo is the only way viper can be reasonably nerfed

Overall imo this patch is a failure that will not change how viper is played in pro play for the most part, but will absolutely gut her ranked viability

The problem is she's more of a sentinel now, they basically Nerfed her ability as a controller with the orb getting stuck

But her sentinel play style is still gonna remain, plus viper's plant Denial is now dead due to the smoke changes, but not even addressing the root of the problem Is what frustrates me

They did the same thing with Jett and chamber too, except viper is only a problem in pro play and pretty much below average in solo que

So for all intents and purposes they Nerfed her solo que viability without affecting her pro play usage by much

While the other nerfs I think work, the orb nerf is BS, IT BASICALLY KILLS VIPER AS A SOLO CONTROLLER ON MOST MAPS, while not really affecting her ability to work as a secondary controller

If ur gonna make it one molly at least give it 8-9 secs with a little more damage, and combined with the orb now being unretriveable, vipers now gone from arguably the best post plant line up agent to the worst

Disclaimer this is a personal list, while I have tried to be as objective as possible pls remember that this list was still made by a dumbass vlr user💀

This is a list that will focus on the 3 big sentinel agents in valorant history cypher, killjoy and viper(viper will be considered a hard sentinels for the sake of simplicity), the players will be primarily rated on their performance on the above mentioned 3 agents, proficiency on other roles will be ignored. Also while being able to play chamber and performances during the chamber metawill play a somewhat major role in the rankings, full time chamber players will not be considered (so no yay, cryo or derke),

Honorable mentions

• Mohammed "JohnQT" Ouarid (didn't make it due to lack of play time in T1, but will definitely be here 1 year from now)
• Saif "Sayf" jibraeel (didn't make it due to best performances coming off the sentinel role, if he stays on the roles I think he can make it)
• Martin "Magnum" penkov (it was a real toss up for me between Magnum and FNS for no 10 and i eventually decided to put Magnum in the HM's due to being out of T1 play for almost 2 years, still one of the most reliable sentinel players in the world and being an integeral part of 2 incredibly successful projects, he sits in the HM's)

Now for the list

10) Pujan "FNS" Mehta - while his individual play leaves much to be desired, FNS's longevity is not to be understated, add that he was probably the best igl in the world for the longest time, he deserves a spot on the list

9) Wan "Chichoo" Shunji - IMO the 2nd best player on EDG, Chichoo has been a rock for his team since it's inception, combined with his ability to play all the big 3 sentinels at an incredibly high level is really impressive, however since he was only able to break out last year his play time is much lower than other players higher up on the list he's in 9
