probably ABIT of both, I doubt he'd do as well in another team. it sorta explains how leaf does so well though

can someone link it

posted 2 months ago

it works half the time but when they lose it's very easy to see how the comps cook them
when they win it's usually just cos they happen to be shooting

posted 2 months ago

that's what some ppl thought given zjcs previous performances but he ended up getting subbed for a role he'd be better in

posted 2 months ago

I think foxy9's autonomy has lowkey gotten fried from his time in drx, even on duel as good as he was he was always just used as a role player for entrying and told what to do alot, so he just relies on munchkin to tell him what to setup or how and when munchkin tilts it kinda goes bad, but that's only what I think

ash should be similar but since hes a rookie and an ex duelist he just might be more affected by his igls mental

clearly they both have problems too but they all stack up

posted 2 months ago

nah they shoulda brought up someone who fills a diff role for their ini, while ashs util isn't bad bringing up someone who already has good util would be better than someone who has duelist exp

demon1s entrying capabilities on Jett were far better than yays on Jett. they also coulda just shoved him on chamber or astra but they decided not to
they coulda done demon1 chamber on sunset lotus while astra on split and most of the other maps could have a jett

nah sym is better but icy has higher floor. potter also said while sym was a moldable player, she would rather focus on making yay great than having to handle a rookie and a lost insane player. icy could just fill whatever potter needs and he knows what he has to do already

While they did win today, they should not keep jieni7 on the starting lineup. while he may have been better today, theres no point in building chem then breaking it over and over again by subbing players in and out. If any of you have watched zjc before edg, hes definitely one of the better players in china, while being on bum tyloo he was probably still the best player on that team for most of the time. so zjc>jieni7 skillwise, but why is he a better fit than jieni on edg? afterall, they had chem from stage 1?

the coaching staff of edg wanted to fill the role of s1mon, so they took jieni7 from their acad team, and they also wanted a yoru player which jieni was. However, his performance in stage 1 was abysmal leading to them missing toronto. they then brought zjc to replace him, given how hes been a historically good player, i assume the coaches thought he would be perfect, being better at shooting and having a decently big agent pool. BUT, he didnt play well. why is that?

edg had a good system that they had created with s1mon, but they changed it up when jieni joined slightly to give them the yoru option, but they didnt use jieni on yoru often, but it usually meant that jieni was still in decent places to get kills due to this. but for zjc, they basically went back to when they had s1mon on those maps he was on flash ini, putting him in bad spots to get kills most of them time given how s1mons fragging was frankly mid. and when they tried him off that, he was also quite underwhelming, with him basically just being a role player and not really trying to make any of the plays he used to. maybe because of confidence? anyways, he didnt play particularly well but effectively just played his role, anchoring, gathering info allat

the coaches today seemed to have realised what was wrong, and changed it up. jieni is off the offmeta breach and now trying new agents like omen which he looked decent on, and his kayo was better today too. hes often in better spots to get kills, and was able to capitalise off it decently.
HOWEVER, this kinda put smoggy off his role for a map. while hes flexy, i think that this would also happen for other maps and i would rather have him on omen than jieni on omen. AND, zjc would fit better into this system right now than jieni. he wouldnt have to play much flash ini, getting back into senti in double senti, or getting back into duelist in double duelist, both of which he appears way more comfortable on than on flash ini. and he would definitely learn omen given how flexible he is, or nobody can just go omen while smoggy goes viper and zjc goes scan. he can fit into double ini/duel/sen/ctrler without pushing anyone into a role they look uncomfortable in, or taking a role that someone is way better at.

also not a fan of picking up players for a few games then dropping them without a proper chance to prove themselves

TL;DR zjc would be better in the comps edgs running now than jieni

posted 3 months ago

hfmi would fit better rolewise bro. eg on corrode he could play deadlock while smoggy plays omen, or double senti with chichoo on other maps. he can play scan too, so if nobody hops on omen which he has this year, hfmi can go sova or fade. he even gives them the option for another duelist too. he's played the kayo for them, and honestly no way he doesn't learn omen if they asked him to.

honestly zjc just keeps getting forced on breach while he's never given opportunities to take good fights because he's always stuck on util. this is why s1mon was good because his util was good enough where he could enable kangkang well enough to carry both his own and s1mons weight too. but since that bridge is burnt, they might as well instead of trying to force an old system they should just adapt to the meta and run double senti, double duelist, where zjc could shine. instead of trying to be util heavy, they really just need to be able to outaim them while having some set plays.

Ah, you're referring to S1mple and EDG's Valorant team, right? I see where you're coming from now.

The story surrounding S1mple and his brief time with EDward Gaming’s (EDG) Valorant roster is one that generated a lot of buzz in the Valorant community. Here's a breakdown of why S1mple and EDG parted ways and some of the drama surrounding their relationship:

The S1mple and EDG Valorant Situation:
S1mple's Brief Valorant Stint:
In early 2021, S1mple made a major announcement that he would temporarily step away from CS:GO and focus on Valorant, which was still in its early stages of growing as a competitive scene. Around this time, EDG (known for its dominance in League of Legends) decided to expand into Valorant and built a roster.

S1mple, a top-tier CS:GO player, was initially approached by EDG to join their roster. This generated massive excitement in the community because of S1mple’s fame and his reputation as one of the best FPS players in the world. It seemed like a promising collaboration.

Why It Didn't Work Out:
S1mple’s time with EDG’s Valorant roster was quite short, and there were multiple reasons why it didn’t last:

Team Chemistry Issues: S1mple is known for his high expectations and demanding nature in-game. As a player who thrives in a specific environment (like CS:GO), transitioning to a new game and finding the right synergy with a new team can be difficult. Reports at the time suggested there were chemistry issues between S1mple and the other players on EDG’s Valorant roster. These kinds of tensions can quickly derail team success.

Playstyle and Adaptation: Valorant’s playstyle is different from CS:GO, even though they share some common elements. S1mple, while incredibly skilled in CS:GO, had to adjust to Valorant’s agent-based abilities and slower pace. This adjustment period could’ve been harder for him than he anticipated, leading to frustration and conflict with the team.

S1mple’s Personal Goals: S1mple had always been incredibly focused on his CS:GO career and didn't seem fully committed to the Valorant project. His love for CS:GO and his established position in Natus Vincere (NAVI) might have made it harder for him to give the same level of focus and dedication to Valorant.

Parting Ways & Bad Terms:
After a relatively short period, S1mple left EDG’s Valorant team and rejoined NAVI. The breakup between S1mple and EDG wasn’t necessarily cordial. While EDG had hoped for a star player to boost their Valorant scene, the team seemed to have different expectations of what S1mple could bring to the table. Some sources reported there were friction points between S1mple and certain team members or staff, though there was no major public fallout.

Bad Terms:
The "bad terms" rumors likely stemmed from S1mple's somewhat blunt, intense personality and EDG’s frustration with the situation. S1mple, having a world-class ego as a top-tier CS:GO player, might not have meshed well with the more collaborative and patient environment needed for a new team, especially in a different game like Valorant.

There was some public tension, with S1mple being vocal about his dissatisfaction with his brief Valorant stint and EDG players or staff subtly critiquing him for leaving so abruptly.

The public perception was that S1mple might not have fully committed to the Valorant project, and EDG wasn’t happy with the lack of synergy.

Key Takeaways:
Short Stint: S1mple wasn’t with EDG for long, and his switch to Valorant didn’t work out, mainly due to team chemistry issues and differences in playstyle.

Personal Tensions: The departure was likely influenced by personal differences, but there’s no concrete evidence of an outright feud. It was more about expectations not aligning.

Reaffirmation of Focus: After leaving EDG's Valorant roster, S1mple returned to NAVI, where he continued his dominant run in CS:GO, cementing his legacy as one of the best players in the game.

There was definitely some tension when he left EDG, but I wouldn't say it was an all-out feud—just a situation where things didn’t pan out as both sides had hoped.

Does that help clarify things? Or would you like more details about S1mple’s transition from CS:GO to Valorant and his return to NAVI?

having jieni7 in mid seat might mean they're trying him out for igl. which might mean zjc ain't coming back. zjcs peak is at least 3x jienis peak so I hope this isn't the case
