Wouldn't say era but C9 are looking goooood rn. Optic have apparently been smashing in scrims tho

Good take. I'd say Yay is also up there with a decent performance at all events and an INSANE peak at masters berlin. He was able to hard carry NV to the finals just by getting a 3k every other round.

Yup and I'm one of them. Saw them beat t1 in that pre-VCT match and was a fan ever since. Trent, Saya, and Valyn are just so good and are improving so fast. I don't think they're as good as Gambit or C9 yet, but I think they definitely could be before the year is up.

Great stuff love it

He always was bad at first but then went insane near the end. Still not that consistent though.

Cryo hasn't proved himself internationally yet. Heat DEFINITELY has, that guy's crazy

I think Optic showed a bunch of issues in this series against Sen just like FNS said, so V1 win unless they get experienced diffed. Plus, in the head to head comparison, even though Penny isn't quite Yay level, Zander's a LOT better than FNS mechanically.

Pretty good list ngl

I would say Optic is looking better than the Guard rn (especially factoring scrim bucks where they crushed C9 and the Guard), but I think the Guard has a higher skill ceiling long term. They're all really young players and have improved drastically since the open qual.

This is a pretty good list actually

Lol the guard and sen over C9. I love both teams but they're NOT there yet this year.

"we men are genetically made to be stronger" applies to Valorant, does it? I didn't know humans were gendered specifically based on how good they'll be at video games. I guess you learn something stupid and sexist every day!

Which baiting acc's alt is this

Oooo yes. Man's cracked. Idk how old he is tho, but he's definitely getting more known now.

posted about 2 years ago

He just does a bunch of twitchy random movement to get cool clips. Wouldn't perform nearly as good as any of the people listed above in pro play

I forget how young Asuna is; he's been in tier 1 for so long (comparatively). But you're right, definitely deserves to be on this list.

People who come to my mind first are Cryo, Zander, Trent, and Valyn. Who am I missing?

WHY DID THEY LET ICEBOX AND FRACTURE THROUGH THIS IS FNATIC

posted about 2 years ago

C9 def best, then V1 + XSet same tier, Guard below them. Tbh I have no clue who would win Sen vs Guard. Guard is a LOT more structured and has far better teamwork, but the individual skill factor is a bit less than Sen, plus they're a lot newer so nerves are more likely to be an issue.

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly probably not going to be the best match in this group, although it should be a banger. Rise and V1 are fucking killing it, they have a real chance of beating Sen + Optic (Rise already beat Optic).

I'd agree with NA + EMEA, dk enough abt the others

I think you mean champions 😂

Even if Sen don't make a resurgence, with C9 and NV around, they'll have their work cut out for them

posted about 2 years ago

Dude the only reason they were there was because they lost to NAVI of all teams. Tbf it was before they got Nivera, and they've been doing a lot better afterwards. Plus let's be real, the TL vs Sen match at Champs was really really close, and if Sen had won two rounds in the first map, they would've won the whole series.

Top 3 tbh. Shaz and Crashies are the only ones who I'd say are definitively better atm. Maybe Derrek too.

It's a problem with statistics, same as in chess. Becasue there are so many more men playing esports than women, it's inevitable that there will be people with higher talent among them. It's not becasue men have a higher potential or whatever other sexist bullshit, it's just a matter of probability. Consider S1mple, highly regarded as the greatest FPS talent. I'd say it's pretty undeniable that he's better at CS than any Valorant player is at Valo. That was made possible after years of people playing CS (the larger talent pool), so naturally someone in there will have the highest peak. If Valorant continues for another 10 years, it's likely someone will arise who's better than him. So going back to the issue of women "not being as good", the solution is to increase popularity with the game among them, and that will likely never happen due to all the damn misogynists here and in twitch chat, and the general culutral atmosphere which makes men much more likely than women to play video games.

You can rely on derke tho, and he might go wild

I think Xset and V1 have the most immediate potential but the guard has quite a bit long term if they keep the same roster. They're all very young players, so they'll have a lot of room to improve, and they started out really strong too.

posted about 2 years ago

From the first open, V1 and XSet seem dominating and the Guard and NRG seem a step below

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly fair, we'll have to see how they do.

posted about 2 years ago

Before watching Rise vs NRG, I'd say Guard vs NRG would've been even and Guard vs Rise would've been slightly tilted in Rise's favor. After that match, I'd say I can't properly judge guard vs either, so I'm keeping it like this. Also what're you talking about having the easeist path? They had LG, Knights, Akrew, and XSet. Sure they didn't face V1, Rise, or NRG (the other teams that had a good shot at beating them) but they still had some good opponents.

United doing better than both Rise and Akrew LMFAO

They literally tore through Tier 2 all last year (35 game winstreak) and did amazing this qualifier. Tf you talking about?

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah that's true, but overall I have pretty high confidence that C9 will crush them.

posted about 2 years ago

They already had a banger match against C9, where they got absolutely rolled 13-1, then won a super close map 14-12, then got semi rolled 13-9.
