Deserve? The only entity outside of riot that can decide whether or not a team deserves to win is the opposing team. If G2 didn't "deserve" to win then maybe loud should have showed up and proved that.

How does that matter in regards to him being tier 1 ready. Being better than flor isn't the barrier of entry.
Inconsistent players are inconsistent because they can't replicate the situations they thrive in. Either they don't know what in game conditions make them play good or they don't understand what to do to force those conditions to occur more.
A chamber player who can put up a masterclass against a slow tempo team will never play as good against faster tempo teams if he doesn't learn how to force them to play at a slower tempo. A waylay player who thrives when shit gets chaotic won't play as good against more structured teams if they can't create chaotic environments. When the flow of the game doesn't naturally create your ideal situations, you must be able to create them yourself.
Also, gunplay centric agents are the best characters for improvement. They teach you to set yourself up, build your mechanics, and prevent you from crutching utility to have impact in a game. You will learn enough macro to survive ranked just from playing the game. At no rank does the macro get super complex. Even if you have mid macro, you can literally get immortal by mechanics gapping people.
