I know you're joking, but this gave me an idea. What if the team from the lower bracket gets no time outs.
Interesting. Do people prefer the single elim style or would they rather go back to bracket reset? I can't think of a better alternative for RL
What is your proposed solution for coming from the upper bracket then? There HAS to be some kind of advantage for the team that hasn't lost a series in the playoffs. And don't say bracket reset. It'd be absurd in tac shooters considering how long matches can last. This isn't the FGC or Rocket League.
Edit: You could do single elimination playoffs, but I think people vastly prefer the double elimination bracket.

SEN didn't have to deal with an evolution series. They only attended SEN Invitational and Afreeca (and some show matches)
Edit: Also SEN only had to travel once to Korea. All of their other matches were on home ground.
Congrats on the Champs win. You earned it. But for the love of god, PLEASE DO NOT pull off that off-season bullshit from last year again. Yes, attend some off-season events, but not EVERY SINGLE ONE. Was so aggravating watching the team grow exhausted.
Yup. I do wonder though, if that EG vs. PRX game went to game 5, if Demon1 could've been even higher. Passing 300 though, I doubt it man. Was insane by KangKang.
G2 would be a much better team if they had a better duelist. Icy isn't bad by any means, but compared to some of the other top tier duelists, he's just not up to the task.

Okay, you clearly did not see the "MOST (not all) teams" part of my reply when talking about NEEDING a selfless duelist. I was clearly hinting towards LEV with Aspas, who isn't exactly the most selfless player, but he's so utterly insane, that he is practically the exception (at least in Tier 1). But just completely ignore that I guess.
Literally nothing you described about KangKang makes him "unique." Sure, he's absolutely the best OPer, but he's not the only duelist who OPs.

You see, what you described KangKang as applies to so many top tier duelists bro. MOST (not all) teams that make it super deep into international tourneys NEED selfless duelists. Don't get me wrong, he's an excellent player, but he isn't exactly unique.

We wait 20 fucking years to get through the off season. I better see a shit ton of Tier 2 talent make it to Tier 1. Drop many of the washed dogs still in Tier 1. Off season events better be some bangers. Ascension better have some banger teams qualify for tier 1.
Down the line he can be a contender, but let's not call it early. Champs winners have a habit of falling off pretty hard or just disbanding
I wouldn't call him super consistent. He is rated 3rd on his team this tourney alone, behind Chichoo and Smoggy (and that's after an absolutely insane finals performance). He has only really played well at 2 tournaments imo (Tokyo 23, Seoul 24) of the many EDG has attended. Calling him one of the best Val has ever seen is absurd tbh.
