Who cares about inconsistent fragging on IGL if you're winning every match?
They're shocking the mollies you peanut brain
He read your post and stopped missing thanks
What deal did LOUD make with the devil to never lose to Brazilian teams?
talent isn't the issue for NA, it's management
Perfectly played. Definition of isolating fights
His curse is missing LAN while playing in a superteam
was saadhak's igling what made these two players what they were last year?
I don't think that's fair to say, I do think players who are playing with a good system and team chemistry are able to show their individual skill level way more though
Though I agree SEN should have never gone for them. Great players, just a weird fit.
His individual skill speaks for itself, he's probably one of the more skilled players individually in NA
Doesn't mean he plays winning team VALORANT though
Yup last year's core+Kaplan+2 world class players in the flex and controller roles (many who were available, btw) would be in contention at the very least this year.
Rob Moore festering over Twitter replies probably
TenZ was probably untouchable in the eye of SEN management cause of his brand and following
realistically his ability to be a championship winning duelist is questionable to me. His mechanics are insane and in early valorant he probably got away with a lot that he can't anymore. his inability to play raze definitely screwed over SEN at least a few times. He's never been known to be a smart player, but with the level of competition this high you need both, even if you're the star duelist.
but imo his performance is the least of SEN's worries and replacing him for another duelist won't fix this team.
People don't realize that SEN's struggle is neither a talent nor strategical one
It's a chemistry one
People still think players win games and not teams. So "losing = bad player = replace with good player and win" in their monkey brains
Hope that clears it up for you.
He said grizzlies... They're a NBA team that were playing a playoff game lol
Same. And when sick was going through his episode on Twitter, shahz was being a real friend, trying to help him even though they weren't teammates anymore. Think he was replying to his tweets before he got arrested saying "pick up your phone."
Makes me sad because he's extremely reviled on this site, but these two finer points (along with the video that was made after he lost his father) made me really respect him as a human being.
Regarding that second point: there was a point where everyone was pushing this narrative that shahz didn't believe in practice or make his team practice. And after a loss, steel talked on stream about how SEN had to cancel a lot of scrims because their players were sleeping through practice, which got a lot of attention on reddit.
People gave shahz SOOO much hate for this, and he took it all on the chin and never threw sick under the bus, on his stream or his twitter- just one reddit comment explaining there are extenuating circumstances.
Agreed 100%
Let's review SEN 2022:
He comes back in tier 2 with a new squad and coach and finds immediate success.
shahz wasn't the problem - team never had a chance that year. But the community narrative made Rob Moore do something impulsive - which he's shown to be once again with the sykko firing.
Shahz-dapr-TenZ + (Ethan/bcj/Marved/Zander) in the smokes role, and (zellsis/zekken/penny/nismo) in the flex role would have been a legit squad.
If I was sen management during roster mania
I would have gone for any combination of:
Roster: shahz, dapr, (Marved or Zander), (penny or zellsis or zekken), (yay or cryo or tenz)
Kaplan as coach
They'd be at least solidly middle of the pack and potentially pushing for LAN qual spots
There's been only two constants in SEN: the management and tenz. Since champs 2021 they went through every change under the sun.
🤔🤔🤔
He's been handed a sinking ship but I'm rooting for him. From what pros are saying he's talented and a good strategist so maybe he can make SEN look better, but it won't be for a while I guess.
They built a winning squad but got into money problems, just unlucky I guess
They're overperforming expectations now but mce is a gem and I think he raises the floor of any team
+their core 3 are underrated individually and tactically imo and will be in or close to contention no matter who the 4th and 5th are under mce. But with a good enough 4th and 5th they are real tournament winning candidates.
Prime or reaver I'd guess
People are really clueless about how money works in esports
Next to 0 esports orgs are or ever have been turning a profit
They are all VC funded- very rich people who throw out hundreds of millions of dollars on something that they think will eventually be able to turn profit
Most orgs for a long time have been hemorrhaging that initial money - paying insane salaries to pros and content creators and trying to build winning teams and acquiring fans with the goal of profiting off of them "eventually" - through merchandise and sponsorships or franchised league esports (very few of which are profitable)
That bubble (among many other VC funded startups in other industries) has been popping - that's why there are layoffs in a lot of orgs, spending cuts, not re signing content creators, etc.
bump
entrust all roster and strategic decisions to new coach, have him build a team
fire him 3 matches into the split (1 win, 2 losses to good teams) - done on impulse by CEO and announced on his personal twitter and not by social media team
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
if this org didn't luck into shahz building them a championship team and a fortunate timing with sinatraa suspension and TenZ "retirement" to content creation we would never be talking about this clown org.
Calm personality = good IGL potential. You heard it here folks from the best scout VLR has to offer
Because team chemistry is severely undervalued by the peanut gallery.
Just cause a roster is stacked with big names doesn't mean it will work- you can have role issues, language barriers, bad communication, weak teamplay or uncomfortable vibes.
I strongly believed this SEN roster was doomed from construction and you can't blame solely sykko dephh or tenz which everyone seems to want to do.
sykko didn't want to make those changes, they came from the team, this has been posted and debunked like 100 times on here
Hard disagree. Seems like he did it to show he's serious about winning or some other "alpha" move. Maybe he had an argument with sykko and wanted to get the info out quickly. Literally 3 hours ago sykko tweeted about work to do, this just screams impulsiveness instead of a measured decision with time to let the social media team dress it up.
1) don't mish mosh players that have no evidence of chemistry (not to mention an added language barrier) and expect the roster to work cause each moving part had success on separate teams and metas.
The roster was doomed from construction, it was always gonna take a long time to figure out even with strong coaching. It has the potential to be a champion roster but not this quickly.
The two losses are to teams people considered top 3 going into the league. And anyway I'm not saying sykko wasn't the problem, just crazy how quick they switched up from full trust down to building the roster to literally fired. Seems impulsive.
Rob Moore running SEN like Elon runs Twitter
Dude SEN's whole strat was to let their coaches build the team. They put all their trust in him to build something and fired him 3 weeks into the split 💀💀💀
Remember when the SEN players were asking for him but the org wouldn't pay the buyout
Now they wasted a full year under rawkus coaching, put their whole trust into sykko to build the roster and bring in his IGL and system, and then fired him three matches into the split just to finally have Kaplan take on the helm of a sinking ship.
W management.
Something had to have happened since the match ended and now right? If it was brewing why would sykko coach? Why wouldn't the social media team be the ones posting about this change? It didn't even leak through Geddes first.
Optics of this tweet are that Rob himself decided he was tired of losing, or read some tweets and decided sykko was the problem, or maybe got into an argument with him after the match and fired him himself and as quickly as possible 💀
Why is he tweeting personnel changes?
Sykko: fraud
MikesHD: fraud
mcE: goat
Potter: who knows what she would do with good players
EG just beat kru so clearly NA owns your fraud region
