Absolutely no one was stopping indian teams from competing in the lower leagues and making a spot for themselves in tier 1. Heck even if GE took on a bunch of indian players to give them experience I'm sure people would've cried saying they are wasting a spot and realistically nothing would've changed. The real problem is a lack of esports scene which is not GE's fault. It's unfortunate and probably unfair but it is sure as hell not GE's fault and there's literally nothing they can do to save this scene on their own which I wish people would realize. At the very least they are qualifying for internationals and have won a game which is way more than most top chinese teams have been able to do this year. Honestly baby steps I think they'll do great as long as they stay together.

Just cheer for the teams you want to see instead of hating on the ones that are doing their best to do well. Heck I saw the vlogs and the GE staff were hella emotional that they qualified. Y'all genuinely don't deserve an esports scene if this is how you treat your own teams.

If you think we look down on tournaments we don't win that's insane cause paper rex has been to 10+ internationals and only won a single one. I loved the champs 2023 run even though we bottled it. It was a legendary year that was fucking insane. 2024 champs was also insanely good with EDG winning. 2025 the DRX run was also absurd. Santiago with an ascension team lifting an international trophy is also historic even if people keep calling it a fluke. I have loved every event in the last 3 years and realistically its not even that I hate ewc its just that I can't take it seriously. I have loads of minor issues with it but it mostly comes down to its not part of the VCT circuit. I mostly only watch tier 1 valorant because that's all I have time for. I know people who liked the games in EWC but my point was always that its not just people coping since their team didn't win. There are other reasons to not watch EWC but that's their opinion and I don't see why that is a problem.
