fns has proved time and time again that he has what it takes, the issue is when he has shitters like trashies and midcor
boaster (0 mechanics) literally beat heretics (5 shooters) in the regional grand finals, we aren’t in the state in which a amazing mechanical igl is required yet
any team would look like they’re tier 2 caliber with less than a month prep and the shitty comps that the coaches made for nrg
the real reason why nrg looked bad this split was because the coaches tried to innovate comps as a gamble in order to be ahead of the other teams due to the lack of prep time and protocols, they didn’t even think of just picking ascent even though ascent has been the exact same meta for the last 3 years
mind you taking all this into consideration they still looked way better in comparison to last split where they got back to back 13-3ed by a shitty leviatan
i also don’t think only looking at stats is fair enough to decide whether a player is impressive or not, anyone with half a brain can see nrg improved tenfold when fns came in and single-handedly carried the attack half for any map, it doesn’t show up on the leaderboard but not all impact will, people keep suggesting to get 5 shooters but look at drx, they went from being top 3 pacific to being possible 6th by going all shooters route
getting more firepower won’t solve anything
fnc only beat heretics due to experience gap and their map pool not being as defined yet, beating a emea team being their only accomplishment this year is humiliating
if eg from 2023 stayed they would have steamrolled sen in madrid and geng in shanghai (obviously if they kept the same form)
fnc was never a good team they just mechanically diffed players the whole way through, once they played a team with mechanics and strategy they got absolutely shit on (loud), no matter what they had 2 rematches against loud and still got bitched both times, fnc are overrated bums

this team's only accomplishment was taking ASCENT off sentinels, a map sentinels were notoriously shit on
group alpha is way more competitive than group omega and while nrg didn't play up to standards several factors didn't exist during split 1 that came up during split 2
such as the 1 month prep time and wasting their time trying to innovate shitty comps that don't suit their style
winning ascent against pre madrid sentinels is not the achievement you guys think it is ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
