maybe it would be counting the core players from the satrt of the vct circuit. Lets take VS for example. Their core players are stax, king and Rb. If any of them left the team, they would lose all their points unless all three joined the same team. So all three core players have to transfer. If all 6 players are core players, then perhaps it would be decided depending on who has been with the team for the longest. Idk how riot thinks but i would decide it in this way. for NA LCQ the matches are determined by the amount of circuit points they got. Because 100t was first out of the teams and second place is v1, they are on opposite sides of the bracket. After that is faze and xset, so faze is on v1 side of the bracket and xset is on 100ts side of bracket because they are the next two seeds. Thats why xset and 100t are on the same side of the bracket

I think bad seeding or unlucky seeding is a good reason to have double elims even at international lans. gambit and VS were up against each other in the first match of the playoffs and both teams had the potential to win it all, and giving a double elim might make a tournament longer, but it introduces a wider range of teams to play against and the lower brackets would be fun to watch.
