UPDATE: JUSTICE FOR TEAM GB

After all the backlash and community support, Team GB has finally received a response from the TOs.

  • The match will be replayed off-stream (March 20th 11:00 GMT+3) (In case vlr staff sees this).
  • The player will NOT be banned from the tournament.

This is a huge win for competitive integrity and fairness in T2, and it shows that when we speak up, we can make a difference.

While this situation should have never happened in the first place, it's encouraging to see action being taken. This was the first split organized by the new MENA TO, and hopefully, this marks the beginning of better decision-making moving forward.

Most importantly, we’re just happy for the players as they finally get a fair shot to prove themselves.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, showed support, and stood up for the players.

This was a team effort, and on behalf of Team GB and its memberswe appreciate you all.

I get what you mean by that but I hardly doubt any of those bigger names would want to talk about the current situation of vcl mena in their streams because its simply not their main topic.

posted it on my own twitter account (@notunkedly) and @vctscrims also helped out even tho its not really his content, which I appreciate a lot, mostly just thru sharing it

Sadly it hasnt been for this challengers season only, weve been seeing tons of unacceptable stuff from multiple TOs around the world for years aand hardly any action is taken

Valorant T2 in a nutshell

Riot sadly has been sleeping on anything other than new skins for years

Turns out that under Riot's rules, what they did was illegal. We could be seeing something deeper than a vlr thread here

EXPOSING VCL MENA (Once Again)

Yesterday, Sunday, March 16th, at 20:00 CET, we were supposed to watch Team GB vs. VoidWalkers in Challengers League 2025 MENA Resilience: North Africa & Levant Split 1 - Group Stage: Week 2.

Instead, VoidWalkers were given a 26-0 round win, and we didn’t get to see a single round played. So what really happened?

On the stream VOD, all we got was a vague message:

"Team has run out of tech pause."

But after speaking with team members, here’s the real story:

Nationality Issues & Admin Incompetence

When Team GB submitted their roster, there was no option to select Palestine as a nationality. Instead, their team manager had to manually add a note explaining the situation.

One of their players, who lived most of his life in Palestine and qualifies as an LTR for MENA under Riot’s own rulebook, was forced to relocate to Turkey due to war.

However, VCL MENA admins denied him the right to play.

Unreasonable Demands & No Proper Solution

The admins' response?

  • "Find a sub in 15 minutes."

  • The sub needed to download Tournament Realm in that time, which was impossible due to limited internet speeds.
  • No other accommodations were made.

Then, admins suddenly changed their stance, saying:

"The player can play next gameweek, but not this one."

Which makes zero sense.

And yet, just two hours after that, the team received a final message:

  • The player was officially banned from the league.

No communication. No transparency. Just a sudden ban.

Where’s Riot?

The team has tried contacting Riot, but (unsurprisingly) nothing has been done.

At this point, the best-case scenario would be a rematch—but knowing how TOs handle these situations, we all know that’s unlikely.

The Valorant T2 scene has been a mess for years, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you’ve read this far, I urge you to help spread this. This team has spent months grinding, only to be robbed of their chance due to poor tournament management.

They deserve better.
