an L is an L. sentinels got boomed this tournament. they won 6 maps and lost 6 maps. envy and g2 were clearly the better teams this tournament. this is a terrible performance for what people call the best team in the world. but let’s look at the positives as a SEN fan. losses can bring a lot of learning. brutal experience is the best lesson, but it unfortunately gives you the lesson after the test. sentinels should now not be as cocky heading into champions and have a chance to learn from their many mistakes and hard focus on their team play and get down that discipline and structure they dominated with at iceland. GG sen, hopefully you get off your high horse and improve to win champions and secure the best team in the world status

a lot of people, including myself, put the spotlight on sheydos and nAts and underrating d3ffo because of his inconsistent oping and not being that star jett like tenz or cned. but, even though he still shows some oping inconsistency, he has been an unreal player for gambit this tournament. the amount of entires this guy is getting and the close millisecond op kills when they’re jump peeking are just insane. d3ffo really came alive on LAN and he’s been a huge factor in the teams success so far, especially in this match and the one against 100t

some people could argue that SEN and NV come from the same region so they know each other’s strats well so it doesn’t matter if NV didn’t show strats, but i don’t think SEN and NV have played each other since challengers 1 so that doesn’t matter anyway

i believe their map pool is relatively the same with some exceptions. both have a weak icebox and extremely strong havens, both have a strong bind and idrk about envy’s split i think it’s eh. SEN will ban ascent and NV will ban breeze. since NV get the first seed, i assume they pick haven bc it’s their best map and then SEN picks split and that could leave NV with a choice: do you pick icebox which you’re weak at but sentinels is too or do you pick bind which you’re strong at but sentinels is too?

maybe they could start holding a south american LAN with brazil if covid guidelines loosen up and top 3 or 4 go

think 100t will have a harder time against acend then sentinels. if sentinels don’t improve from group stage, 100t handle them well
