Most disappointing Chinese team gotta be wolves for me. Superstar roster full of underrated players that were all insane on bum teams coming together, and a decent showing in kickoff. For them to be as bad as they were for majority of the year is really a shame cause that roster could’ve fought for top 3 if they got it right

I mean obviously you can look at this champs and see that China has outplaced pacific but I wanna think properly. The amount of improvement for Chinese teams between stage 1 and 2 has honestly been similar to other regions from 2023 to now. It’s crazy how fast this region has been improving, especially at the end of stage 2 when teams like wolves and Tyloo found their footing. A big issue with lots of Chinese teams has been coaching, but that is actively being improved upon and has already improved a lot this year. I think by next champs China can be a top 2 region and are already punching up from that bottom spot

I really think FNC should do what EDG have done and move boaster into an assistant coach role or just something in the staff because clearly he’s passionate for the game and can cook some nice strats and anti, whilst boosting team morale. However as seen by EDG, sometimes dropping an igl and someone else picking it up can be big, and so I think Leo should take this role. Not only does it increase the firepower, but having an initiator igl allows for an easier time setting up plays, which a team full of stars like FNC would love. Obviously dropping igls is scary but I’ve been so inspired by the EDG rebrand that I’m all for it now

Watching how EDG are a billion times better with haodong out and nobody calling makes me believe that Leo in as a caller over boaster is a good idea, whilst keeping hiro

Who is everyone going for? For me I want FNC > SEN and DRX > TH. Half because I like those teams more and half because a full lower bracket run is cool

If they beat lev they have a very very good chance of winning it, their map pool is so good with double ban. Ascent is poor and icebox + bind a bit sketch but they have a world class lotus and sunset, a very strong abyss and a pretty good haven. They are suited for bo5s with this extremely strong mappool and I genuinely think they can go all the way.

Mappool is very good for both teams and the veto could go any direction tbh. Both teams ban ascent normally but as seen in the PRX match EDG are willing to float it. I think SEN will ban ascent and EDG will ban icebox maybe? It’s kinda hard to tell how good SEN are on icebox.
EDG look best probably on lotus and abyss, which SEN have consistently floated but haven’t played yet so it might be scary to pick. I do still think they’ll pick abyss
SEN probably pick sunset, which is a decent map for EDG but SEN should be confident here I believe.
That leaves bind haven and lotus, where I believe EDG ban haven and SEN ban bind, leaving a stacked map 3 lotus that could go either way.
I’m not confident in this veto at all as both teams have good and similar map pools, and whoever wins veto will be interesting. I do think EDG have a decent chance although the form SEN are in is scary but imma cope a little and say EDG 2-1
