EDG was attending official tournaments before many of the other Chinese teams, and they are the only team that has seen significant success on the global stage within the region. This just proves the importance of having access to official tournaments and getting experience with international teams.

Also, I never said money doesn't help. It does, but time also plays a big factor in talent development.

And yes, you don't have to learn everything in the past 3 years, but meta doesn't change how your team plays fundamentally. You're also forgetting that the game wasn't even officially released in China until 2023, which means the talent pool is simply just more constricted.

Meta changes doesnt change the fact that the region didn't have an official competitive infrastructure where teams can develop. They started 3 years behind everyone else, and they are catching up yes, but it still requires more time. Being a rich region don't mean shit when you haven't had the time to develop domestic talent. Talent development is not solely dependent on money.
