i am excited for KC and GIANTS honestly. giants is also one of the only team with the same core since franchising started. they are bound to have better synergy too this year
i was talking about how the 2023 koi was expected to be somewhere equal to how nrg was this year.
(they were supposed to be top 3-4 emea team, atleast that was our expectations)
and koi for next year ie 2024 doesnt look the best on paper
lets see, all of this could have been said for most of the teams last year, but it didnt turn out very well.
i hope
liquid is a premier organization. if at the start of the year they arent even good enough "on paper" for #2 (should be #1, but since they have fnatic), then yeah there is a problem
another year of the goat having to settle for mediocrity :(
hope i am wrong
NA hasnt had any actual lan events, so i'll put them 2nd to last just above emea
I am an emea fan but all emea has given me in the past 2 seasons is disappointment.
FUT has done well, to come from a "not top 10" emea team to top 8 globally. expect atleast a top 4 emea team performance next year too.
NAVI and FNATIC have stayed consistent. (navi did really well at champs but got unlucky)
but all the rest of emea has done is served me disappointment.
again i can be hopeful of all these emea teams, like how i have been since the past 2 seasons. but all emea has done with these good "on-paper" rosters is sell me dreams that were never fulfilled. i have given most of the hope, so if any surprises do happen, they'll be good to watch.
true, but what also is true that demon1 aint that guy
demon1 can play smoke is just a way of saying he cant play raze
yeah the team that lost 3 maps in two international events had a lower peak than eg? yeah sure bud
that still is a better investment than whatever your parents have wasted to function your existence.
this.i agree with this so much. what derke and aspas can do is far far more than either of yay or demon1
but i just cant tolerate when someone puts demon1 ahead of a player like yay.
bro you seriously lack some valorant brain. so i'll put some knowledge into it.
yay's peak involves being 2nd at champs and a masters trophy.
demon1 has had 1 good tournament, yay at the very least has had 3 good ones.
no. of tournaments yay has missed = no. of tournaments demon1 has attended in his whole career. put some respect on his name.
also i am the furthest thing from a yay / optic core fan. i am very unbiased when comparing two NA players, because of my inherent hate for NA.
peak yay had me wishing that the team i root for doesnt meet optic. while the last thing i think about when against EG is worry about demon1. that guy doesnt make me scared. think fnatic can win 3-0 in a bo5 against eg with leo with covid, boaster on jett and derke with hair
alfa and leo are way ahead in the race for best player of 2023. demon1 is just so talked about because of the recency bias and the inherent bandwagon nature of valorant fans
yeah and comparing that prime yay had, to anything demon1 has reached is laughable at best
may or may not be. but the commenters on this tweet are definitely more "generalized valorant fans", and they for sure are 9 year olds
become jamesff sidekick
the comments on this tweet is filled with valorant bandwagoners who somehow forget that yay at the very least is a top 5 player at both jett and chamber, but they disrespect him like he was never good at anything.
https://twitter.com/CommendYT/status/1725166432319664605
and especially not to forget that they are praising demon1 for being good at just champs 23. yes thats it. he has had one good tournament and somehow has surpassed yay's prime!!!
they always have planned to have one, its just that they dont want any mediocre roster. if they come into gc they want to compete for the very top and hence why they havent picked a team until now. but they have made it clear that they will come if the right opportunity arises
should they go for ex shopify roster? or will they never move to NA?
This is likely due to the merger between Version1 and G2 later this year which would become a conflict of interest as both organizations have teams who have qualified for GC Championship

i think its more like there is a price for everything. shopify gave enough money to v1 to buyout this roster
i am so fucking confused. like version1 already had only their gc roster, and now they sell them to shopify for some money and basically having no team? like thats a good business move, but you no longer have any business left.
do love the fact that shopify bought them because it is that one org that is investing a lot into the space, both challengers and gc. happy for the org
also talking about upsets and stuff, sure they do happen. but look at league, its generally the same top 1-2 teams in every region, while there are others who come on top and fall down.
fnatic and g2 in lec, no matter what happens, it has been these teams who eventually come to the top. they might fall off for a season or so, but they still catch up to any competition
yea but that would've been true for a team like optic of 2022, they were bound to go down in 23 with or without yay and marved, they had their run. fnatic roster is still very fresh.
and seriously speaking, they havent even "practiced" together for 8 months, so its not like the teammates are already bored of each other. its not like gambit who stayed together for 2+ years or any other team. and just to predict that a specific team will fall off because of the simple fact that teams do fall off typically, isnt a logical way of stating your reason about fnatic here falling off.
thank you for coming to my tedd talk.
NA fans just trying to find some reason to break the greatest valorant team of all time
(1. he is not being "held back" 2. he does prefer duelist, but doesnt mind if he has to play sentinel on a team (good team) like fnatic) -> his words
in the new team liquid video, they were asked "the fans give valuable feedback" and mistic said:
"yeah, i mean vlr is my best source! i learn so much from vlr"
sub doesnt change the practice and strats they have done. especially since he was the sentinel, their executes and things like that were not at all tough to change. and with the way he performed it was more or less the best c9 could've performed at this point of time
came in with no practice and hardly any ranked grind since the past 2 months and still won it vs team playing with deep map pools, with good prep and comps that were supposed to surprise them like yoru raze on bind.
The greatest team of all time.
yea, there arent even enough bait threads. i come on vlr every few days and see it being in such a dead state. horrible. but i hope it will become more active once january hits
i dont agree with most of what you said but, yes every analyst is political, especially if he works in VCT events and that sucks. we really lack someone who is a harsh and a knowledgeable analyst.
representing cambodia has nothing to do with this. its if he chose to play on EG as an import or a normal US citizen. he chose to be a normal US player, which means if now he wants to play in pacific, he'll be counted as an import
the dynasty begins as soon as your best player left? KEKW prx
0 trophy team in a 0 trophy region
china will win before pacific

with our assistant coach slk gone, its pretty much 99.99% confirmed we'll get a new head coach with mini as the assistant coach.
slk was very good, and i hope that he'll get to join a good team soon.
and another fnatic W for keeping mini
if there is one team that has better scouting than mce, its fnatic. they may get mce, but it wont be for just his scouting/managerial skills
mr james any info on FNATIC new coach?
