Didnt watch it live, just saw the highlights.

All the maps were close as hell. Appreciation to both the teams. There were a few questionable plays from both teams at time, I don't know what something was doing (but man clutched up in important rounds). Apart from this, both sides did play well. Alpha and Chron were frying. Forsaken and Davai putting such a good resistance, shutting them down. And all the storylines coming up to this point (especially top 4 with G2 and wolves too), made for a pretty good playoffs. Happy for PRX, finally getting the the trophy after being so close to it multiple time (2 2nd place finishes, and 2 3rd place finishes). Hopefully we get a good champs with the level of play right now. And hopefully G2 get their shit together and finally wins a trophy.

I don't get why you included the matchups of Gen vs Sen when GenG was in NA region, with a completely different roster, but you didnt mention the same for when G2 and FPX were EU rosters.

Its really 2-2 for all the regions now the opening matches in all groups have ended. Each region has won two and lost two.

Playing more disciplined will not work if they continue to have shit comps. With the comps they play, they mostly rely on shooting rather than utility to retake or clear angles. This just doesn't work against Tier 1 competition who can actually shoot you back.

They need to change a lot, in terms of comp, define their playstyle around this comp, get a proper IGL who can see the entire picture and not just have tunnel vision.

Exactly, a second initiator or a controller would have worked way better for both attack and defence. If they wanna play sage, just play ultra W gaming, don't back down and try to play retakes, this comp does is not good for retake. Even on attack no flash and only relying on viper for walls and smokes is not optimal. They really need to go full W gaming if they wanna play such comps or just have to change comps to fit the meta.

I really don't understand this perspective that "you are just watching, so you cannot judge". Us watching VCT and engaging with the content is what makes the game successful. Watching and buying skins, team bundles, team jerseys, etc. is what keeps the scene alive. Ik most people are generally toxic but they are allowed to comment and have opinions, as they (directly or indirectly) help in keeping the game and it's esports scene alive. It's just upto the ones reading these comments to take constructive criticisms and discard straight up toxicity.

The ideas of his videos were cool, but I was never into it seeing how content minded the videos actually were. Anyone with more than two braincells knew that the content was fake (which is not that big of a deal, considering the scale of his videos). The main point being continuously lying about it to his audience and building his brand on authenticity, especially to his target audience. Circling back to my first point, the videos always seemed to lack soul to me (maybe because how they were edited) and lacked passion. And the fake contestant part is real scummy, giving actual contestants false hope that they can win something when it is actually rigged against them is very scummy.

every team plays on equal specs, that is not the problem here. The point is that better systems (both front end PCs and backend electronics) would increase the overall experience of the game for everyone. Pondering (not complaining) why good PCs are not being used for S tier tournaments with top teams which are conducted in fancy arenas with good production is a genuine question no.

But hey, if you are okay with why the billion dollar gaming company doesn't invest in making its esports scene better and just makes money on overpriced skins (not investing it properly), I can see why you might miss such an obvious point.

But he is not wrong though, it is one of the biggest tournament of the year for Valorant, champs and all international LANs should have good PCs. Its only a one time investment (with maintenance) and would require a teeny tiny fraction of the money they make just by selling skins.

This would result in better player experience, less technical timeouts (better for us audience) and would result in less complaints like this.
