Valorant was my first competitive FPS in life, I started playing in the end of 2021 and had a similar history as you. You need to grind, focus mainly on your aim and grinding you will pass the ranks, it takes time. My aim went SO BETTER when I started playing TDM, I think you should play a lot, and pick agents you would like to try to get better.

You play controller as I play as well, controllet is a very ingrateful role, it should be easier for you if you play initiator (like Gekko or Tejo, on low elo they're broken), but play with the agents you like.

In Valorant you need constancy. I stopped playing because of university and I'm on elo hell as well, my peak was diamond and I'm stuck on silver rn (not playing but played some months ago), even that I'm so much better than the people on my elo.
