they’re one of the most consistent cores of all time regardless of how they play. i’d say at this point it is maintainable, but it largely depends on the individual performances of the players (and their comps, since they love trolling with them)
I think you’re right but i feel like kk is just a lot more consistent now and yay has yet to prove much of anything after his role swap in EG. i’d like to see more of yay (i.e see him play in an international) before i consider putting him back in the top 10
i dunno it just doesn’t seem right to put kk outside of the top 10 after knowing what his peak is; he should’ve made toronto if it weren’t for the crazy team issues that were going on around him. had he made it to the event, people would still be putting him top 10 i think
Yeah you’re right, now that i think about it i don’t think nAts is top 5 yet
to be honest it depends on the player
if you’re looking at duelists, ACS/FKFD matters a lot, for players like controllers and initiators, assists matter a lot, etc.
vlr rating is a decent metric to look at to see if someone did well, as is K/D, but it isn’t perfect. the best way to judge a player is to just look at how they play
yay had a higher peak (best ever) but kk has been more consistent while also having the same amount of chips
i would put yay close behind kk
objectively speaking, the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
just because he’s the best player on his team on an underperforming roster for the first half of 2024 doesn’t make him top 5 in the year
cloudberry when they realize people can live in different countries
tenz 3
forsaken > alfa
boaster 7
yeaaaaah i don’t know what you’re smoking brother
sure, but saying them getting out of groups is a “fluke” is absolutely cope for TL not making it out when SEN are in fact better than four teams in that stage (at least on paper)
i would say that SEN also beats TL since i think this version of TL is weaker than their bangkok form but of course we don’t know that. either way, SEN should’ve always made it out of groups regardless of matchups
i would say this applies to TL but that would only apply after seeing how horribly TH shit the bed
he is good, just not good for liquid
forsaken is not top 3
top 10 for sure, but not top 3
it's about dunking on delusional SEN fans who think SEN not getting grouped is anything but a fluke
thinking SEN would have gotten grouped is also pretty delusional icl. they wouldn’t have gotten out 2-0 if they didn’t get only chinese teams for sure, but they are among the four best teams in groups & they would’ve made it out lol
either way i think TL is the same strength as SEN and both wouldn’t have done much if they were both at full power, just weird seeing people say TL would’ve made a run based off the performance of one series PRX trolled
top 3 is 100% braindead i agree
he is probably around top 10 though
VIT serial would go mega hard
who is putting him top 3 LMAOOO
he’s still upset about fnatic loss, don’t mind him
should’ve been a 2-0 sweep but PRX like to be gremlins for no reason
i completely agree, serial himself is incredibly talented but he was just never going to find success on this roster
he’ll find his home soon though
Seems i’ve upset someone
shot themselves in the foot by signing serial sadly
regardless of visa issues, this team wouldn’t have done any real damage in toronto had they had their real squad from the beginning
yeah they played PRX close but no other team plays the way PRX does and no other team likes to throw rounds the way they do. they should’ve won lotus cleanly but instead they started making silly mistakes that almost cost them the entire series until patitek gifted them the win
beyond that, this 6 man roster thing wouldn’t have worked out that well either considering they make 3 different people play different roles, all while liquid’s roster isn’t even all that crazy individually in the first place. the expected result was to maybe make it out of playoffs (they probably would’ve had they gotten WOL) and then just bounce out of playoffs
i think people put way too much emphasis on the PRX match as an indicator of how good they would do in the tournament and think that they would’ve made a deep run because they won, when in reality they just weren’t that strong of a team (even with nAts) and PRX was just doing PRX things
they probably wouldn’t have gotten grouped if they had their actual roster, but they weren’t making it any higher than 6th maximum
you say “i don’t think” a lot when in reality a lot of people do think he is just that great
barely any players have his kind of consistency while staying as good as he is, people only start saying this stuff because he’s had one bad tournament out of like 10
pretty sure you just answered your own question in this post
Well it’s still a W move to bring in flicker, anyone except estrella
it’s a mental thing, it’s been the issue since the roster was formed and why they haven’t won anything despite being as good as they are
they continue with noman after ewc, they’ll be fine
if they brought in flicker instead of zynx then that means the goat free1ng is back on sentinel at last
he’s inconsistent but when he’s at his best he is very good
he is definitely the weakest fragger in that roster but i wouldn’t say he’s a pushover
Yeah the entire team got shit on what is this supposed to tell me
i feel like both teams will improve more with time, they probably won’t see results this year but next season i can see both rosters making internationals
both these teams looks kinda solid
texerino is frying
Genuinely don’t get the hype around bbl
he's recognized in tier 1 or else we wouldn't be talking about him right now.
he’s being talked about because he is the obvious weak link on a roster that underperformed, he is still being considered good because people recognize his talent from tier 2 (like liquid did) and and whoever picks him up, whether it’s t2 or t1, know this
he was talked about before liquid because of how talented he was, he is now back in the same boat
nAts started playing alot of Viper to let Serial on sentinels
you are a liquid fan and you don’t even know that nats is the most influential viper of all time bar none, i’m actually quite embarrassed for you
he has always been the viper player because of how good he is; other sentinels play around Him
Liquid's mistake is letting go of double initiators by dropping Kamyk
this is exactly my point
serial is a good player, but he isn’t the player liquid needed and the player they needed wasn’t one they could ever turn serial into in such a short amount of time
