However I would argue that wouldn't produce the best top 4 because GENG and PRX were clearly better than SEN and NRG.

the only reason we see the top 4 as “better” is because they were in the top 4 to begin with. if TH got drafted FNC or PRX early then we wouldn’t be having this conversation at all

the draw does have an effect on top 4 and arguments surrounding the best teams in the event is in fact affected by that because placements are ultimately what defines “the better teams”
