On fracture would it makes sense to have Tenz on Chamber and Shahzam on Breach?
Shahzam played the OP on both maps today would it make sense in the future to have him play agents like chamber and jett instead of Tenz? I don't know role wise how this works but would this make sense?
I think that opportunity to stream is always going to be there. He has a niche personality and a lot of people like him. However, for competitive play, this is probably going to be one of the better teams he plays with in his career, so I don't think he should quit quite yet as the roster still has global talent.
I disagree on Tenz. I think just like sayaplayer or other duelist, you can't pass up on the opportunity to unlock their fragging prowess and carry potential. As for Shahzam, I don't really know, he's been severely under performing and that could change.
Obivously this team is super new, but I do think it would have been more valuable to keep the team chemistry and focus on other matters first.
I think it is a tiny marginal boast to the firepower of the team, but doesn't actually fix the core issue of the team which wasn't firepower.
What is everyone's thoughts on the old sentinels with Zombs on smokes and Sick on Flex vs Sick on smokes and Kanpeki on Flex? No hate to anyone, but I personally think the previous sentinel comp was better due to the fact that Zombs played a pivotal role in organizing the team as a unit.
Yeah honestly a brutal spot to be in. Sentinels is a small org so they can’t just buyout contracts 100T
Yeah this is a nice team and everyone here can frag out
True. I’m not a esport contract professional but it could be an interesting idea to maybe to negotiate a contract with a performance clause so the coach can be tested .
I like this team a lot. But I’m confused with what Dre would play. Dapr - sentinel. Tens - dualists. JcStani - smokes and who would play flex and initiator?
I would like to see them bootcamp together for a bit. Especially with their new addition.
Yeah thats true. I remember he said that when they were trying to find a coach that it had to fit with the teams vibe which makes total sense.
With an org like sentinels, I thought they could pull in some top talent due to the fact that they DID have a top tier team. Is there any reason as to why maybe some of these coaches didn't chose sen?
I think this is a little too harsh on shahzam. Team management seems to be lacking a bit on this front, but I wouldn't know.
Yeah I'm not sure. I thought it was confirmed after rawkus had left that they were trialing some coachs, and one of them was an ex-player but I could be totally wrong cause I did see that on twitter and twitter is uhh not really a viable source.
Trust me bro. Jk. The guys name was like remix or something but i could be confusing it with rawkus
Yeah I never quite understood the idea behind that. I remember hearing way back that they were going to trail an ex-ow pro as the coach.
I seen a lot of takes on Sentinels needing a coach. Who is actually a viable coach that sentinels can pick up now since it appears that most of the big names I.E( Sean Gares, MikeHD, Chet) are already with other teams. Also could an analyst work instead, so they can adapt quicker?
Tenz played insanely well, had like 16 first bloods. Why are you only looking at the bad when you are a sentinels fan???
That flash over A main, damnnnnnnn.
Would be an interest idea, I think Kanpeki is much less aggressive compared to sick, could be a better anchor in that sense.
Wouldn’t someone need to play sentinel?
What’s your guys thoughts on Kanpeki in today’s matches? I thought he played well in all of them and had a impact as Kayo and Skye. Not too sure on sage cause that map was a troll. Is this setup with Kanpeki on flex and Sick on smokes going to be better then the former setup?
What are ZETA's win condition and PRX's win condition to beat each other?
For Zeta: Multiple teams have tried to anti-strat these guys and it doesn't seem to work. My personal opinion is that they should try something super aggressive team play to counter PRX's aggressiveness, and hope that their individual aim can bail them out as well? (I don't know if this would actually work, just a guess)
For PRX: I think they keep rolling through with this setup they have. Their aggressiveness and controlled chaos is strong enough to keep them up on most rounds, and if all goes wrong they can rely on their insane aim to pull through?
Whats your guys thoughts? Do you think this is gonna be a scrappy fight where whoever pops off will win or a much more technical match?
I wonder how ZETA stacks up against PRX. They are capable of beating really structured teams with a combination of individual play, and coordinated play. But PRX just throws all that structure out the window, so it should be really interesting matchup
It’s crazy watching them, even when teams think they have dealt with the first wave of aggression, PRX has a flank or another player to ensue more chaos. Teams don’t expect multiple flanks and pushes in the first seconds of the game.
I thought the astra sucks from Sugar was on point, it saved them like 2-3 against DRX
What was everyone’s favorite moments/plays from VCT today? Personally I think it’s the 2-3 times that ZETA stopped a diffuse when down members by using the astra suck.
For PRX: All the Yoru plays
While Jinngg is much more raw and has insane aim, is shahz comparable when he reaches his ceiling? Like say on his Jett?
Thank you for this explanation! What I’m getting is that PRX mastered their own style through constant practice in comparison to sentinels who had less time to practice with the new meta.
I really enjoyed watching both ZETA and PRC play against the heavily structured teams. It make the game diverse in tactics and play styles. Plus you can’t help but to root for some of these “minor regions”
I thought faze smeag tactics were stopped by NA teams using utility? Isn’t G2 relatively good in that department?
Falling into pits of chaos? Is that similar to when sentinels would send their entry into a site but get walled?
That’s true, the new players make a stark difference compared to Iceland G2.
I see. Sentinels needed like an entry fragger(Tenz) to create the space/chaos. As suppose to PRX who has everyone do that at the same time? Plus they have insane aim to help?
Could you elaborate a bit more? I don’t really know much about competitive strategy.
From recent discussion and watching the sentinels iceland VODs, are PRX and sentinels former style very similar? They both rely heavily on mid-round strats and play to win trades. Shouldn’t team like G2 who heavily anti-stratted sentinels have an edge in this type of match? Just curious.
Is it possible to beat teams like LOUD and optic with this style of play? Or is that a little unrealistic?
How good is ZETA compared to Optic and DRX? Could they meet them after beating liquid 2-1?
Oh I see. Just was a little confused on liquid rankings among the others at this tourney
I thought liquid was one of the best teams in the tourny? They took a map off of LOUD who #1 in Brazil.
I’m recently new to VLR competitive scene, but I heard liquid was like a really good team, so did ZETA just team diff these guys or had better tactics?
