I don't think this is entirely true lol there's been countless players not only in tier 1 but also in tier 2 that use tournament accounts and equip winner buddies like those with no repercussions

I think c0m is another case of his performance benefitting off his team setting him up (referring to his time with EG here), can't say the same now that's he's on LEV and I really don't think the chemistry is all there between that team

I think SEN will win despite not having practiced with JohnQT but if for some reason they don't win the series prepare for all senfanboys to be coping that the reason they lost is because they didn't have a week of practice lol

They utilize tournament accounts with everything unlocked on them, including skins, playercards, titles, buddies and agents. This is so people can have their preferred weapons equipped, which I'm sure Riot would prefer since I imagine it would boost sales for certain skins.

But mindfreak doesn't have it on his normal main account he uses for ranked and whatever, just like other people that haven't won internationals that have equipped these buddies during LAN tourneys. The only way someone who have the Master buddy and didn't win an international Masters would be if they won a regional masters event in 2021 but mindfreak did not win that.

tldr; just equipped it for fun but doesn't actually have one outside of the lan account
