I feel like this has been a thing for a while. You can look at a lot of "top duelists from the past", i.e., TenZ, yay, Demon1. They had players on the Roster that played Entry for them while they play the more passive trading role. It's the reason a lot of these players look a lot worse when they end up playing sole entry on the team.

It seems were currently in a meta where it's more important to be better the entry style then the trading style.

Also, you could just name the role Entry.

Also, a second note, this is the same in most roles. Init has Recon/flash. Controller has orb/wall smokes. Sent kinda has an exception with Chamber, but most just lockdown sites.

The real question you should be asking is not why did he tell gengshta, but why did he keep both on the team? You have two players who are feuding so much to the point that one might have even been willing to bribe to get the other benched, and you still make them play with the other? Wtf.

Just my guess, but I think he knows he's being full of shit. The odds that Yay was seriously bribing a coach, I mean come on. That team seemed fucked internally and only one side is commenting on it, with clipped versions that showcase the guy they dislike being toxic. I imagine there was just as much in both directions.

People don't hate them because they are bad players, they are bad humans.

I think that's the difference.

He's retired and has been hating for almost a year now. Not like he has much to lose.

I imagine in cases like this where it's not that the org wants to upgrade players, but internal feuds, Riot would likely make an exception. Who knows tho

Wait am I illiterate? The graph is going by two day intervals and the numbers decrease, so it can't be an increasing tally unless they're playing negative games.

My guess is that by adding more matches, the actual best teams will eventually statistically settle at the top. With the current system, there's so few matches that one or two bad matches can completely kill someone's chance at getting to a lan. Allowing for this randomness means you're way less likely to have the same teams at LANs, which they think makes the sport more entertaining I guess.

It's actually not that insane when you realize it's Riot and they've consistently found one of the worst possible ways to organize each tournament/split.

He's getting paid without buyout, but I don't see them renewing when his contract expires. Once his contract is up with SEN, he's going to need to find a new team anyway. SEN even have Curry as the sub now.

I don't know his numbers on twitch, but I'd guess they're not enough to go full time.

I can't read these tweets without laughing at how not-serious any of the Tate or Carlos replies sound lol. They just sound so goofy.

DFM cant adjust when things do go their way. In the T1 game, they basically could do whatever they wanted uncontested, but here they just kept getting shutdown. It was necessarily a fluke, but more so thats their only chance of winning.

I think there's a real possibility that Fennel is better than them.

Mixed.

I think the idea is good, but it will suck initially due to the lack of team spots. As the scene grows over time, hopefully they will add more slots.

On the other hand, I actually kinda like the system that’s in place right now since it allows random teams put together to have a more or less direct path to becoming pro. If they can somehow implement this feature into the franchise system it would be pretty cool.

Tbf The guard’s run didn’t make sense, out of nowhere they start winning everything, get a break and then don’t play nearly as well. XSET on the other hand has maintained 80% of its roster for a long time, and only improves when it makes changes. While it’s possible that they don’t do well at LAN due to lack of experience, I don’t think they’d become washed back in NA
