read it. it’s so much better than the anime that it’s not even the same story tbh. ending is kind of mid though
idk cause in a manga you can kind of skim through the text but in an anime it’s unskippable so you’ll just have to sit there listening to a side character blabber for 2 minutes
that’s fair. unfortunately, I doubt the anime will ever adapt the new stuff though cause of all the internal monologues and heavy dialogue but we’ll see
just read all 410 chapters and i don't get why it's rated so highly.
the succession contest arc was a chore to read. 90% of the page is walls of text. people brag and say this means HxH has good writing but it's honestly the opposite, since Togashi is failing as a writer to make his story clear and digestable. it's like writing 20 pages when your professor asked for a 2 page essay. the art is nothing to ride home about either despite most of the page being text.
there are also way too many characters and its killing the pacing. Togashi feels the need to give us every character's perspective, no matter how minor they are, making us track like +100 characters all at once. its impossible to follow and i don't care for 90% of the characters. like do we really need to spend 2 chapters on like the 4th prince's 6th guard's pov? the chimera ant arc had this same issue but at least the dynamic between ant and human nature made even the side characters interesting.

completely agree, especially with them harping on stuff. half the time someone gets an ace its not them going "woah" or "look at how crazy that play was" like they used to, it's them immediately talking about how bad the other team were to allow that to happen. they lowkey just sound like negative vlr.gg users now
i think the issue for me right now is just every stream feels like constant complaining. like somehow every team t1 plays must just be playing bad instead of maybe t1 just being good. it's perfectly fine to have t1 8th going into the event but you have to admit now that they are a good team. also the slander on drx was just bias not even in hindsight, they looked much better than tl/sen going in despite what bren said
they play scrappy rounds here and there but their results are decisive. you don’t win maps 13-4 and 13-5 against VIT/EDG/DRX only playing scrappy
The issue is them doubling down on it. They call any team t1 beats playing bad despite them now being #2 in the world. Does that mean 46 out of 48 VCT teams are bad teams?
actually awful experience right now.
I normally like plat chat but listening to tmv/bren/mimi vods of the t1 games is just not fun. it's just 3 hours of them throwing tantrums and calling any team t1 plays glue sniffers. I've never seen people so sour about being wrong about an entire region.
it's like they saw the only pacific team they ever bother to keep up with prx lose and all of the sudden the region is shit. in reality, pacific is better than ever before and has the most depth right now cause of the kr teams along with rrq/dfm/tln looking solid.
like go back and watch the last episode. bren rants about drx being shit and then unironically picks sen to win the tourney. they use historical performance to place zekken as the 6th best player despite looking mid in kickoff but not including meteor because of his recent kickoff performance. placing drx/t1 as the worst teams of the event below fucking trace.
they've always been biased against pacific but god has this event made it ever more clear. Sliggy has been much better this event for me cause he stays positive and unbiased

TLDR: EMEA since franchising has always been a one team region. They depend heavily on one "super team" to deadlift the entire region's performance unlike a major region like Americas. Without said "super team", the region is incredibly weak, nearly going double negative both years.
