This kid is a demon in the making.
HOPIUM ZETA's a darkhorse
I feel like one of the mickey mouse teams is KRU. Their finals against LEV was kinda hard to watch, because of the wonky plays and anti-synergy.
Unfortunate, i do hope he gets better soon.
Masters won't feel the same without him.
he goes on sub mode because most of the non subs says dumb shit
They have a solid chance to be very decent. Their players are very talented, and if things go really well, they can make it out of groups.
I think they can beat NIP, and have a hard time against FNC/DRX.
just collective thinking and coordination.
Obviously TGRD is miles better than ZETA, everyone knows that.
But that's not to say ZETA is going to flounder out of Masters. Every region has potential to be great.
my COPIUM is over the moon.
Even my HOPIUM believes that ZETA is going to lose.
DRX 2-0 (2-1 if ZETA puts up a fight)
If ZETA wins, my HOPIUM is going to be over the moon.
Why are people automatically assuming ZETA is gonna do bad at Masters?
Just because they are a Japanese team doesn't mean they are going to bad. CR may have left a bad impression, but we can't just say that ZETA = CR.
Because newsflash: ZETA =/= CR.
pure COPIUM take, but ZETA can beat NIP and FNC
https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/491d6d76
yeah these pickems are off the goop.
Large HOPIUM.
I really think ZETA has the potential to beat NIP, and if FNC really do struggle without Brave/Derke, then ZETA has a chance to beat them.
still a bit unfair, since Liquid was never supposed to be there, and they get counted as a normal masters participant rather than a stand-in for FPX.
But hey, at least FPX got compensated.
pure JP HOPIUM
NRG needs to surpass their limits
From an avid JP HOPIUM user:
ZETA Division is MILES ahead of other competition in Japan. Yes they had a close series last night, but that's because CR actually capitalized on their mistakes. But in the end, ZETA still won because their players are just so damn good. They dropped their "deadweight" and picked up the upper echelon of the JP hierarchy: players that performed very well for their respective teams.
Like SETSUZA said, SugarZ3ro is the player to watch. This guy frags hard, and is a sick controller. My one issue is that his agent pool: he only plays Astra and Viper. He barely plays Brim and Omen. I feel like that's a potential weakness that other teams can exploit.
However, my player to watch is Laz. He is quite possibly THE best player in JP right now. He looks like he has gotten better since last year and he still put up insane numbers in JP and at Masters 3: Berlin. He has such an expansive agent pool, and I think his veterancy and experience will guide the rookies through their first LAN.
Do I think ZETA Division is going to light the world on fire? Realistically, maybe. They have great players, and if everything goes right for them and is prepared top to bottom, then ZETA can do damage and can put up a fight. This JP superteam is truly something special and can represent Japan well on the global stage.
A final? On a Monday?
Strange decision by Riot.
ZETA Division, The Guard, FPX
At least these are the teams I'm going to be supporting
dropped 27 on icebox + slow map + already qualified for Iceland
I can see why OpTic bans Breeze.
I mean, that was tragic.
But hey, another map W for The Guard. One more then we get top seed.
gM Demon and Zander
Nah, this ZETA team looks better than whatever CR did before.
Realistically, 26-16 at best. Yes they might lose, but I think ZETA can put up a fight.
However, my HOPIUM says that ZETA will win a map.
look ik you're baiting, but please make your baits intelligent.
FNC and G2 are two of the most well-known esports orgs, and LOUD has a massive fanbase in Brazil.
they're playing from the complexity facility
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO
SAYA DESERVES THIS, TRENT DESERVES THIS, THE WHOLE TEAM DESERVES THIS
Saya is great on Raze. Maybe not on par with his Jett, but still a great raze.
nah, but we'd have to see how they do at Iceland. But in Brazil? They are the undisputed best team right now. Aspas and Sacy are on another level.
This NIP roster is stacked.
Aside from xand, cauanzin is INSANE. This kid is fragging out on sova while doing tactical outplays. It's like he's the Brazilian Trent.
not even average actually, it's a NEW org.
Bazz redeeming himself from that tragic misplay yesterday.
Even so, he's rising the ranks as a top JP controller.
W recap
ZETA 2-0
Oitan and Lakia are really good, but ZETA's teamplay will stifle IGZ.
Unlucky map vetos. But every loss is a learning opportunity.
I think The Guard will come back stronger, even if it's against a formidable foe like C9/XSET.
ZETA 2-0
The momentum ZETA is on right now is nothing to scoff at. Even though they had a close game against RIG, ZETA is going to prepare more for CR.
I lowkey should've believed in BLEED more.
They have good talent (Deryeon and Lenne) and they have veteran players to get through tough rounds. Not to mention, they have LEGIJA coaching.
Literally became KAY/O himself
FNC, they went toe-to-toe against your team and it was a straight BANGER.
Guild 2-1
The HOPIUM keeps rising.
Most unfortunate result for M3C, but it goes to show the most important thing in every sports: there will be one winner, and one loser.
Today, M3C was the loser and such is life. M3C failed to make Iceland last year and won the next masters.
Could history repeat itself? I guess we'll see. But for now, congrats G2.
Compared to before, RIG played this real close. Great to see another darkhorse.
ZETA looked great though. Laz and SugarZ3ro popped off hard, and Dep is no one to sleep on.
The favourites for masters so far.
LG beat V1.
V1 had a close match against SEN.
The Guard beat SEN in single digit scorelines in both maps, and LG put up a bigger fight than SEN.
"The Guard overhyped" headass.
A bit of a close affair but ZETA closes it out.
One concern I have is SugarZ3ro in this meta. He is super talented on Astra and good on Viper, but on other controllers he hasn't been as impactful.
Other teams can exploit SugarZ3ro's one-trick pick and ZETA would be stifled.
damn.
I think T1 is in a serious need of a flex player. I feel like Curry is more suited for smokes given his passive playstyle.
