honestly, I've just watched DRX throw too many times to remember how good Buzz really is when he's playing well
LOUD vs PRX: The first time PRX plays a team from Brazil. PRX have been in tournament winning form since the first match they played while LOUD had a rockier start. The talent in this game is incredible. Jingg,. Aspas, Forsaken, Less, and Something are all superstar players. The support players on both teams are also of incredibly high quality and have been performing great too: Cuanzin and Tuyz finally look as they did in Lock // In while mindfreak and d4v4i are playing better than they ever have. These two teams play a very different style, however, with LOUD being significantly slower and reactive compared to PRX's unrelenting aggression.
EG vs DRX: EG's performance so far has made it clear Tokyo was not just a passing moment. They've already played and won easily against DRX in Tokyo, so they should be extremely confident going into this game. However, DRX finally also look like they've managed to return to their old form if not surpassing it. DRX and EG play very similar styles, with util heavy site execs and trap plays. EG has something DRX doesn't though - a superstar jett player in Demon1.

I base my appraisals of Fnatic's form on how inevitable their victory feels. If it feels like they will win for certain after 3-5 rounds they are in good form. After 10-12, it's decent. More than that and it's clear they're playing worse than normal.

i think RIOT GAMES should invest in an IGL academy so we no longer have to rely on MIDgls like FNS, Boaster, Boostio, and Ange1!
FNS and Boaster are both incredible igls that have tournament-ending flaws and cannot aim
you can trade tilting for an inability to play against the unexpected but either way they will not be consistent.
Instead, we should selectively breed FNS and Boaster to get an igl that has both their strengths and neither of their issues!

yeah, a slow round on an eco has been a throw since the beginning of time and yet every team still seems to do it.
i feel like he gets in his head so quick - and it's not like derke who kinda sacrifices his own performance to keep the vibes up. he's usually quiet in comms (derke -> chronicle -> alfa -> boaster -> leo in terms of audio).
that's what happens when you hold yourself to such a high standard! He could definitely learn from PRX's mentality and care just a little less in order to care more.
it's been such a great series so far. I'm so glad LOUD finally got back their form - this tournament just got three times as interesting. PRX, LOUD, FNC on one side and EG, EDG and DRX on the other.

csgo: just shoot people [the game devs suck so much the bullets don't even go where the crosshair is so you actually have to exploit the game to shoot your weapon]. maybe throw a smoke or a frag. there's like 2 weapons that people actually use. you cannot shoot either of these guns while moving so everyone is just shooting static targets.
valorant: manage your team's utility and ultimates. design elaborate and efficient executions to elegantly eleminate your enemies. you must keep in mind the enemies' utility and ultimates too. this turns into a metagame that is necessary for success. you also have to keep track of the enemies economy as there are other weapons that players use in this game which require specific strategy to counter. Additionally, abilities allow players to move in more than two dimensions spontaneously - requiring a higher level of aiming ability.
It's evident that Valorant must be a better game because all the good Valorant players were unable to perform in an inferior, simple game like CS because it wasn't complex enough to support their greatness - therefore they were all stuck in lower ranks than they should have been.
If you still don't already see why Valorant requires mentally superior human beings, I can't explain it to you. I recommend living in a cave for ten years to seek this enlightenment.
