it's not genuine to generalize the results from one successful team to every single professional player, since people aren't the same.
some players and some teams will improve more in scrims, and others by grinding ranked. it's having a good balance of the two that fits the players on the team that really makes a team improve well - a lack of either often leads to holes in the play.
I would argue as a glittering generalization, that teams that spend more time playing ranked end up having faster strategic reactions and are more adaptable, while teams that spend time scrimming have a more consistent and rehearsed playstyle.
-3 The Legend of Korra (This one might be controversial)

consider the worst-case scenario for the tier-2 scene next year: i.e. no promotion, no wildcard, no way to get to lans
would large prizepool i.e. 500k+ third-party tournaments keep the scene alive?
this is in response to a now-deleted tweet about a 150k tournament for the VRL winners this split https://twitter.com/valleague_dach/status/1524405882351763463

I'd argue Pansy Hypoc or Bren Sideshow are up there with the likes of Spunj and Machine
with players like boncold baddyG and h1ber they should not be losing this hard to beGenius
