Keloqz is playing so well. He has clearly improved a lot from EMEA games. His aggression is way more controlled this time around.

Cned is the best OP player currently

2.5 KD is crazy. Interesting to see how he will perform with OP. He is known for that, but Izzy was missing so many easy shots even though he is crazy OP player as well.

I mean isn't that kind of how Bind works simplified? You smoke/viper wall, skye flash and run in. On B Raze can just satchel in.

That is because anyone who watches EMEA knows that Gambit, SMB and Acend were really equal and any of the could have won on the right day. Its not like NA where Sentinels is the most dominant team and easy #1 pick. Also Gambit's playstyle differed a lot from their normal gameplay during seeding games. While especially Acend made a lot of dumb mistakes during those games. Like holding site 4v1 and then just taking 1v1s one by one for no logical reason and ending up losing the round.
.
Also we know that Gambit has always struggled in games that matter. They were even close to losing to Liquid. And their roster is young with really low LAN experience. SMB in the other hand suffers from the fact that they are still fresh team and we still don't know how they perform with low ping (most likely shouldn't affect much, but anyway). While core of Acend has stayed together for months and they even won Masters 1 as the underdogs. They can also struggle on LAN, but I'm more confident of them bringing their A game than I'm with Gambit and SMB.

PlatChat is by far the best watchparty IMO, but I will most likely mainly watch Shroud's since he gets most viewers and even though his watchparties are kind of sleeper its still fun to hear his reactions/opinions because he is ex pro and big streamer. Tbh I will most likely have his on main monitor, main stream and platchat on 2nd monitor and then have couple of other watchparties open on tab like last time KEKW. Its cool to see multiple people's reactions and their chat's reaction to cool plays.

If I'm not wrong Sentinels is pretty fresh org, or at least they were pretty unknown until their player Bugha won Fortnite WC. I guess they had like Halo team or something, but that won't get you any major sponsors I feel like. So, that might be a reason why they don't have major sponsors yet or at least ones that they would partner often with (like having logo on jersey).

Obviously I would want it to be Acend vs Gambit/G2/SMB. But, for hype and everything Sentinels vs Acend.

More like Acend is the Sentinels of EMEA.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean SMB was formed in the same month as Reykjavik was played. Like maybe 10 days earlier, so that could be true, but I'm not sure. Why would any international team scrim against such a fresh team when they have bunch of other EMEA teams to scrim against.

posted about 3 years ago

Oh I forgot that Sharks was in EU for bootcamp, don't know about Vikings though. But, I'm still pretty sure that he was talking about Berlin BR teams, since they have scrimmed for sure.

Boring list, but IMO
S: Sentinels
A: Acend, Gambit, SMB, 100T, Envy, VS
B: G2, F4Q, VK(?)
C: KRU, HL
D: ZETA, CR, Paper Rex

I for example think that you could make any matchup out of A tier teams and either team could win it on right day. Envy and VS are maybe like A(-), and B teams have potential of challenging A teams. C and D teams won't make it far and I'm sure of that, hard to rank them too.

How so? I think he was talking about HL and VK

Skye = starxo

I'm just not sure about the roles. Seems like Jamppi will be moving to controller or sentinels role? This move could be huge though.

posted about 3 years ago

They say that because of Steel's Kay-O, but they completely forget that nAts is smart player and his placements are always really good. You even have that Split clip where he kills like 4 guys without using his utility while having godlike placement. They need to watch and analyze a lot of Gambit footage to be able to counter him as well as PlatChat makes it seem like. They play against NA teams all the time, so they know where enemy players like to play.

Gambit. Sheydos and Redgar could 2v5

posted about 3 years ago

Really good list. Only changes I would make are Sova = Crashies, but Russ is good choice as well. They play really different. And then I would maybe give best Sage to someone like Starxo, Turko or other EMEA player, since that hero is played a lot in EMEA.

This is really unpopular opinion, but I agree with you. Last time he had like 2 weeks+ to adjust to living in hotel etc before tournament, but this time around he has less time. He never showed up on LAN during his CSGO days and I feel like part of the reason was that he struggled with travel life. I could be wrong though and I mostly likely am.
Even outside of that he has huge pressure of showing up and even slightly weaker performance could be seen as underperformance by majority.

skins look like ass, but has good sound and finisher

posted about 3 years ago

tbh that ain't too bad. F4Q plays shit ton of Ascent while Acend has always struggled a little on that map. Even lost to G2 that played super fast just like F4Q. But nice info

posted about 3 years ago

Tbh majority of those chatters are literally iron-gold players who think they are better than what they actually are. Its common thing where people see their gameplay as higher level than what it actually is, while seeing others gameplay as lower level. Silvers thinking they stand a chance against diamonds even though they would get wrecked even in the weakest region ladder kekw

posted about 3 years ago

What? Guy tried to hit Sheriff flick and missed. Completely normal. EU seems to be living rent free in your head KEKW

posted about 3 years ago

True. But tbh that's all of Dapr's personality. Dapr, Sick and Tenz 3 stacking Diamond ranked and talking shit lmao

posted about 3 years ago

I mean no matter what that is going to be really high quality match. Maybe should have been the last game of the day though. Usually first games should not be so high quality. To kind of build the hype up.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't know about rest, but they clearly won against TL. The players were instantly like "They are S tier no question they are insane" and based on their reactions/comments I got the impression that Vikings destroyed them. And when you think about it TL and SEN went 1-1 in scrims and they weren't as hype about them. Obviously SEN isn't known to be scrim gods, but anyway.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't think that is the case. If you watch Team Liquid's team rating video from Iceland it seems like Vikings destroyed Liquid in scrims. And when you think about it TL was the "favorites" to win the whole thing. Winning (possibly destroying) the 1# EU team before officials should bring them more confidence no matter how much they struggle against some other teams. But, you could be right.

posted about 3 years ago

They are literally using Riot's own accounts. So it doesn't matter. Unless all SEN players made new EUW accounts, but I doubt that. I'm pretty sure Riot knows about this and Avova account most likely wasn't active.

No disrespect, but isn't bowl cut really really popular in Korea? For example in Overwatch literally 99% of Koreans have bowl cuts, so this new style looks unique from Korean.

posted about 3 years ago

Russia, Turkey and UK would be real competitors. France and Sweden could do decent as well. I believe in my country as well even though they wouldn't be the favorites.

I mean you could put any of the top NA and EMEA Jetts to SEA and they would have higher stats than F0rsaken (obviously if they could talk same language). No disrespect, but farming weaker regions doesn't automatically make you best.

posted about 3 years ago

Could be, but there's something with the whole layout as well. Reminds me of some of the non popular maps that CSGO has. A lot of tight corners and stuff like that.

posted about 3 years ago

This map and sites really remind me of CSGO. I don't know why that is, but its a good thing.

posted about 3 years ago

Most likely. Just explained why some people are talking about EU teams and why its impossible for another SEA team to take their spot.

posted about 3 years ago

It would be unfair, but if they want to have 16 teams like they planned then adding 5th EMEA representative is pretty much the only thing they can do. I don't know how visas exactly work, but to my understanding the process can take some time and add possible quarantine time to that and you are out of options. Masters start at like 7 days.

posted about 3 years ago

You completely missed the point. Its not about who lives close. Its about who can realistically attend. If Bren can't make it that means that no other SEA team can take their spot, because they simply don't have enough time to get their visas and quarantine. And in this case where Masters are happening in a week the possibility of any other region taking that spot outside of EU is really small because of the time window. EU teams are in EU, so they don't need visas or quarantine for long. Teams don't just teleport to tournaments. There's bunch of stuff happening behind the scenes especially now with covid.

posted about 3 years ago

Because next event is held in Europe. I don't think any other team from outside of EU would get their visas before Berlin. If they need to replace Bren then EU team is almost the only option.

posted about 3 years ago

You need to be delusional to think this would happen. No Tier 1 org would sign Sinatraa. I repeat, NO tier 1 org would sign Sinatraa. Accusations like this are all that is needed for tier 1 orgs to not even think about this dude. It would be terrible terrible move for org's PR.

posted about 3 years ago

I'm not too sure about that Tenz part this time around. This is super unpopular opinion, but I feel like he has to prove himself again in Berlin. I mean he played amazingly in Iceland, but at the same time they spend like 2 weeks+ there before the tournament even started. This time around they will only have like max week to stay there before the tournament start. At least I've gotten the idea that he struggles with traveling and staying in hotels etc and now he won't have as much time to adjust to it. I might be wrong (most likely), but I feel people jumped on this "Tenz performs amazing on LAN" too quickly after 1 "semi-tournament". No crowd, untypical stage layout, 2 week quarantine etc.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't think that will happen. Gambit's attack side is pretty bad if they play anything like they did in qualifications. CR should get decent amount of rounds out of that IMO. If Gambit starts with CT side both map then I can see them hard diffing Crazy Raccoon. I think biggest diff will happen in VS vs Paper Rex.

posted about 3 years ago

Not really. Both Envy and Sentinels should place #1 in their groups. And 100T can upset Gambit, since I think people forget that Gambit has its struggles especially under nerves. They didn't play their typical style against ACE and SMB and seemed way more relaxed during those games.
