yeah I know just wondering how these lists work

posted about a year ago

This list is so weird and wonder what its based on. Like Chicago 20th while Nordics only have like Stockholm and Copenhagen there.

He's IGL and all things considered he was the IGL for OGLU before franchising and outside looking in I think he did good job at it. Yeah they didn't place high in EMEA, but I also think that their roster individually was one of the weakest in EMEA. They relied more on strats and setplays. Of course there's some rumors that Destrian took over the main calling during LCQ, but I still think you have to give him some credit.

Heretics on other hand was clearly struggling from external issues and zeek's benching mid season hints that thinks were pretty bad. Can't fully blame him maybe not wanting to call for a team like that. Especially because he doesn't seem like that strong or loud type of player out of game(personality wise). Again could be wrong.

And even individually I don't think he is that bad. His fragging has been pretty weak since franchise started, but I actually thought he had pretty good fragging for IGL during LDN UTD/OGLU days. And I think he has showcased the potential to frag or at least have good impact rounds.

Such a shitty change. Hate it when companies sell name changes as a service. Let people change their names if they want so. They don't even have any excuse like "name changes affect the system, servers and code wawawa" when it has worked just fine for past few years. Just a way to get more money from people.

posted about a year ago

Its still really big playerbase wise and can find games fast in most ranks. There isn't in-game league if you mean that and you just have to play ranked. When it comes to esport their tier 1 league (Overwatch League) season just ended and was the final season of that league. No idea what is going to happen to its tier 1 esport, but there will likely be some sort of new system. Overwatch World Cup main event is going to start at end of this month.

Fokus is goated tier 2 org for sure. At least based on what we've seen. Actually making good rosters and trying to win. And hasn't left Valorant yet.

posted about a year ago

Who cares and we don't know that without even seeing them play yet. So much more fun to see same old Fnatic owning in mickey mouse tournament!

posted about a year ago

Likely not just worth it because no updates. Most teams have already build their teams and those have been reported, and the very few that haven't been leaked are still building or simply haven't leaked yet. Like for example KOI has been missing 2 players for most of the spreadsheets.

posted about a year ago

Much rather see new rosters than same old

Party Animals. I haven't had so much fun playing a video game in long time. Also played Sons of the Forest(The Forest sequel) some time ago with friends and it was really fun even though bit short. Don't know have they updated it since.

I would say that very likely marteen or N4RRATE. I recently checked Tomaszy's stream and he was playing Killjoy, Cypher and Viper almost every game. Seems like he is going to move to sentinel role. Apparently Magnum has said on his stream that he is going to role swap, and he has mainly been playing Sova, Breach and Fade on ranked. Shin was suppose to change roles as well and even played Brimstone on that KC vs T1 game(troll game, but potentially practising). That only leaves marteen and N4RRATE. I personally think its going to be marteen.

tomaszy - sentinel
magnum - initiator (igl)
shin - controller
n4rrate - flex
marteen - duelist

I watch LoL esport when it comes to LEC, MSI and Worlds without barely knowing anything and with like 5h of LoL experience(hate it and I'm garbage). But I still really like it. I think the casters do great job at explaining what is happening, win conditions etc and watchparties(like Caedrel) help a lot.

Might not help your problem, but just saying that LoL can be fun to watch even if you don't really understand what's actually happening. That you don't just give up because no clue about the game. Its really hype game to watch when you see team fights, solo fights etc.

Just wish he played more agents. He clearly can but for whatever reason always on KayO (makes sense in Ascent tho)

posted about a year ago

Been impressive in RedBull but IMO needs to keep delivering this type of performances in tier 2 first

posted about a year ago

Who knows because we dont know most rosters and theres going to be many changes likely. There's so many good tier 2 players that aren't on teams atm. Fokus will do well like expected but not sure can they keep up with this roster. Especially bit unsure about Lime as duelist but who knows. Like if they had Jugi as example I would be more optimistic.

aimbot?

I just got Steelseries Apex Pro TKL and it feels really nice. But I got it for 90€.

posted about a year ago

That GC Champions team would have gotten rolled by Heretics as well

posted about a year ago

G2 Gozen aren't that strong, but YaBoiLewis is really solid player and all things considered could even be franchise level.

posted about a year ago

Regional leagues? Ofc the competition isn't as high, but performing well in those definitely shows you have potential. Constantly being top player and MVP in league like Spain is promising.

posted about a year ago

MiniBoo had weak Ascension performance, but outside of that he has been performing well for most part

posted about a year ago

MiniBoo hasn't been that impressive as of late, especially on Ascension. But he has been doing well in tier 2 for some time. Constantly rating as one of the bests in Spain VRLs and even winning MVP(yeah its only Spain VRL but its still good showing). Also he has been flexing to Raze and Neon as well so decent agent pool. So hes completely logical signing for team looking for tier 2 duelist.

posted about a year ago

I hated their team building last year. Difference is that they are actually signing young talent with big potential this time around.

posted about a year ago

What? There's nothing wrong with Heretics team building this year. They got great signings. First game with little practise, young team, against a team that has good core + cNed who is top tier Jett.

posted about a year ago

Its possible. Fokus has pretty good roster and teams haven't had that much time to practise together.

ANGE1 - decent, but angel would sound weird as ign if we didnt know him
cNed - pretty good
nAts - pretty good
AslanM4Shadow - ....
m1xwell - pretty good, works well for pro and content creator because easy to say and remember
L1NK - meh
ScreaM - kind of like with ANGE1. Made by player
qw1 - I like it
Derke - I don't like it, especially how people pronounce it
Boaster - decent and again memorable and not too agressive or edgy so suits for content as well
sh1n - decent
trexx - decent
Boo - kind of funny but not good
sheydos - pretty good
Chronicle - generic sounding idk
nukkye - not biggest fan because sounds bit like Finnish word for wiener sausage
Sayf - pretty good especially because pretty much his real name with letter change
Alfajer - good and can be shortened
Leo - like it because cool but also just his real name
Shao - cool name
Jamppi - not a fan
SUYGETSU - sounds like anime so ass
Cloud - decent
kamyk - not a fan
QutionerX - I like it kind of
BONECOLD - cool
AvovA - bad
Muj - bad
Harmii - bad
Keloqz - decent
Wolfen - meh
koldamenta - pretty cool
Newzera - bad
ZE1SH - bad
xms - bad
weber - bad
rhyme - decent
zeek - pretty decent

FUT wins. cNed and Reins will be the highlights.

posted about a year ago

Based on what? On paper? Because last season none of your mentioned teams were close to likes of EG and LOUD. Like you could make same comment about any team pretty much. And how does that make the region better than others? Currently it looks like Fnatic and PRX will be on a island(PRX ofc made a chance) and rest are fighting for 3rd spot.

posted about a year ago

I don't know EG is likely breaking and LOUD lost their star player (both likely downgrading). Who comes next?

posted about a year ago

True. Hopefully Apeks stays in Valorant tho. Seems like good org and clearly wants to build winning teams.

posted about a year ago

Lately mainly CS2, Squad, Apex Legends and Party Animals. And taking some break from Destiny 2 atm.

posted about a year ago

3rd best NA in 2022 doesn't mean much when its also the exact same core + 1. NRG was only team doing something outside of XSET in Champions. The Guard won stage 1, but flopped in Reykjavik, didn't do anything in stage 2 and then got rolled by 100T in LCQ finals and didnt look good doing it, and after that been playing in tier 2. And where were Valyn and Trent rated as top 3? Americas tier 2? G2 can be good and likely will do fine in Americas, but rating them high high like some people is bit weird to me.

posted about a year ago

or maybe Fnatic underperformed in Champions
hmmm

posted about a year ago

Only advantage qw1 has over cNed is his agent pool. cNed overall better and more consistent.

posted about a year ago

FUT are going to be dangerous heading into next season. Raze is the only clear issue they could face, but outside of that cNed and yetujey are great replacements for qw1 and MOJJ on paper.

posted about a year ago

Yeah but like guy below said they haven't played in tier 1 for quite some time. Some people are calling them the best Americas team heading into next season but for what? Last time they played in tier 1 was NA LCQ 2022 and they kind of got rolled by 100T in the finals who then ended up getting grouped in Champs. Obviously they did well in tier 2 and would have done decent in Americas VCT league, but its still the same 4 + new guy and placing them into the tier 1 pool is hard.

posted about a year ago

Kristal + kamo would be cool and pretty exciting. Nivera works as well, even though I would rather see them getting IGL and not just put starxo to do it.

posted about a year ago

Not good IMO. I think kamo could be decent even though I'm not super high on him. But I don't really like Shadow pickup at all. Also no info on who is going to IGL. Sucks that KOI seem really tight on budget otherwise we could have seen like Unfake + ALIVE that would have been good additions.

oh nvm you mean ex-teams not players region

Difference is that pretty much none of those switches affected the EU CS scene at all while NA switches pretty much killed any scene NA had. Mostly tier 2-3 players who wouldn't have never seen a day of tier 1 CSGO. Let alone the potential talent that decided to focus on CSGO and are doing it rn compared to NA where there's almost 0 up and coming talent.

Overall point is that NA is full into Valorant while CS is still really popular in EU and pretty much most top talent stayed playing it.

posted about a year ago

Yep not like NA isn't filled with coaches from EU

Is this based on extra information or the picture Fnatic posted? Had to admit that the silhouette is pretty close to Tanizhq's II feel like.

NaVi's placements depends a lot on how much Ardiis changes it. NaVi have everrything to become a champions if they didn't just play shitty comps all the time and focused on actual usable stuff, and I believe in Ardiis addition. But overall on paper EMEA looks really competitive and a lot of questionmarks so impossible to tell

posted about a year ago

N4rrate isn't even the best duelist on his team

posted about a year ago

miss her

posted about a year ago

Don't know. I overall prefer teams sticking with local talent and don't like importing unless there's actually a big reason to import like KR imports in LoL etc. But there's many slots in EMEA and having 1 import is not that bad and pretty cool tbh. Would imagine NA fans not being that happy like many EMEA fans were when Ardiis got imported. Yay is likely going to do well like expected.

posted about a year ago

Too early to say because they might not perform well in tier 1, but its promising and nice to see EMEA teams looking into tier 2 talent and bringing bunch to tier 1. There's a lot of talent in EMEA tier 2.

posted about a year ago

Good t2 roster not sure about roles yet.

posted about a year ago

Yeah. They have marteen, Tomaszy and n4rrate all duelist players (if marteen is still in likely)
