I'm sure GenG with this new roster would win at least 1 tournament. Perhaps even a mid-year tournament. Perhaps even a mid-year tournament held in China.
In every international Team Heretics have participated in since last year, they have always lost to the 1st and 3rd place teams and only the 1st and 3rd place teams.
Masters Madrid: Lost to PRX (3rd) and SEN (1st)
Masters Shanghai: Lost to G2 (3rd) and GEN.G (1st) Champions Seoul: Lost to LEV (3rd) and EDG (1st)
Therefore, one of PRX or WOL will be winning Masters Toronto, with the other taking 3rd place.

The PRX and Wolves that beat Heretics in Swiss Stage are not the same PRX and Wolves in the upper finals. Those 2 teams have levelled up so much over the tournament. Heretics has no excuses.
But also yes it would have been nice to have Team Liquid in the playoffs they were pretty nice even with the roster fuckery and time prep issues they had.
2 people have perfect playoffs pickems and like 3 other people had perfect Swiss stage pickems but no one has both.

I think 3 team groups are pretty bad coz it is actually advantageous to lose your first game.
What I reckon would be better is have a Swiss stage as usual but let the 1st seeds start as 1-0 and have the 2nd seeds play the 3rd seeds in Round 1

Kangkang, t3xture and something are probably the highest peaks I think.
There are probably others who are pretty close in the other regions.
There is not enough prep and scrims you can do that can counter the upgrades and improvements you make by playing and grinding through tournament matches.
The PRX of like 5 days ago would have lost to G2.
Similar situation with Wolves.
This past year all the teams that have never won before have been winning across all sports.

While he did create the role, I don't think it's right to say that no one would lurk in Valorant without him. Some other smart player would've come along and done it themselves, maybe in the same tournament. Valorant was developing really fast in the early years.

Sen were really good in Stage 2, and were looking like top 2 Americas at a point. They just had internal issues towards the end and fumbled their leaderboard position. Once they got over it and regained their confidence, they showed their real skill level.
Australia has only 7% of the US' population and more than 40% of the US' total medals so like lmao. More than 60% of the US' gold medals too.
