some NA free agent player
I get that. A selling system so you can at least get a percentage of your money back would be nice. Or a system where the more a player buys they can get rewards such as at a certain point a free skin coupon you can cash in at any time. There could be a loyal customer thing that allows people who buy a lot to also receive discounts and sales tailored only for them, and the benefits go away when the player doesn't buy anything for a while. There could even be a system similar to patreon, where a player could pay for different tiers and levels of benefits/rewards.
They could even do a wheel and have there be a certain number of skins on the wheel and you would pay to spin it. The risk is that while you may get a skin that is worth more than what you paid, you might also get a skin that is worth less.
it's all a farce so I can say I don't buy skins out of a personal choice rather than I have no money and my parents would obliterate me.
Unfortunate timing but it wasn't on purpose. Give Curry and C9 some time to improve and assimilate. I don't expect anything from C9 right now since it's hard adjusting to the loss of a head coach and integral player. Hopefully, everything works out well though, it just won't happen immediately. Curry especially since he's young. Still rooting for them.
is it really a problem? You bought them. They are yours. You can use them however and whenever you want. It's why you bought it after all. Maybe it feels like a waste but then you can always just use them again. They aren't going to go away, now they are just an option. You not using a skin isn't Riot's fault. At least Riot is releasing new skins and content.
Maybe Riot could implement a rental system, or new skin types that require combinations/sacrifices or something. But ultimately I feel like, for a financial choice, it'd be best to only buy skins you are sure you like and will use consistently rather than temporarily until other skins come out. At least for a normal person that doesn't want to spend excessive amounts of Valorant. It's also up to the individual to choose how they spend their money.
But that's just me, I see the appeal of skins and stuff, and get why it might feel like a waste. However, I don't think it's a major problem, or even a problem that applies to the community as a whole since overall people aren't really losing anything (unless you think the skins are a scam in which case just don't buy them) and not everyone buys in-game cosmetics.
shit I didn't even see the 100T at 6 lmao
without m3c as well
How are you rating them? Achievements? Peak performance? Does it encompass mental strength? All of the above? If so then how much of an impact does each have proportionally to the ranking? What about playstyles and how one playstyle of a team may counter another but not the rest?
People can rate them but the criteria tend to differ. That's why it's not fair to have a completely general, unbiased, overarching, rating.
but who cares about fairness, we do this for fun.
it's been a while but if I can recall the gist was Crit lied to his teammates and said he had gotten a legitimate Covid test and tested negative and thus was able to travel to lan to compete when in reality all he did to check was using a makeshift, shitty at-home test. But he did have covid and ended up spreading it to multiple people at the lan. It was extremely immature and endangered a lot of people. Crit apologized and Ethos who was on his team was very disappointed.
Minecraft strikes again
miner =/= minor
this is disappointing
Hey, if it makes you laugh it makes you laugh. Nothing wrong with it lmao. VLR has a bad rep but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean it's bad but not horrendously FBI open up level.
I mean dd8 is a sports psychologist. Dazed was most likely just mocking him. It probably wasn't a joke considering the tension that ultimately got Dazed removed.
In hindsight, it's not very surprising, to be honest. But that's just hindsight bias, I never saw this coming. Hope for the best for the players, teams, and orgs. Especially Curry and Xeta.
some are good, some are bad, most of us are different. Considering the diversity of the website it's bound to happen. Still, there are a lot of braindead idiots here. Stupid posts get made, horrendous takes given, and ultimately that reflects on the website and community as a whole. It's a normal thing that happens. VLR has its ups and downs.
Tensions between T1 and DaZeD have seemingly been brewing behind the scenes for the past month, with George Geddes of Upcomer previously reporting T1 exploring his removal earlier this month. "DaZeD and myself just had a different vision for how we wanted the team to play," David "dd8" Denis stated in the T1 announcement video.

They made it to groups yes, but there could have easily been a world where they didn't. It's not like they waltzed out with no trouble. Like I said earlier (in a different post), a win is a win, a qual is a qual, and a streak is a streak. But still, Sen barely qualified after two qualifiers with two byes. And their lower bracket for the last qualifier was undeniably fortunate in terms of who they were matched up against. If it went any differently I'm not confident they would have made it to groups. But it didn't go differently.
Again you can't deny that they made it to groups nor their wins that led up to it. But you can judge their performance, struggles, and path to qualification to predict that they aren't exactly the best or even upper half in groups.
Still, I don't like predictions anyways. Upsets always happen. All I'm saying is even though they might make it to playoffs, SEN are the underdogs right now.
C9 going through a roster change isn't going to bode well for their immediate performance. But yeah I don't think Sen are making it out. They barely succeeded in qualifying after two qualifiers with two byes. Congrats to them for making it out I guess, a win is a win and a streak is a streak, but the path they went through in the lower bracket on the last qualifier was pretty fortunate for them. I doubt they have what it takes to get out of groups.
if only it were that easy to stop hatred in the world
yeah, I genuinely do hope for the best for C9W, as well as C9B. But no way are they top 15. I mean they're higher than 79 where they are now, but still not close to top 15.
One of those, "any publicity is good publicity" type moments. Which has merit in some cases. Not all though. Questionable by NYXL to say the least. Controversy aside, Cardi B doesn't seem like the ideal type of celebrity to endorse esports and gaming.

edit: whoops, was meant to be a stand-alone comment, not a reply.
my bad, i thought yay was in yay
yeah, this post basically sums up this site. It's a pretty accurate description of the people who lurk on here.
same...
and then girl kissers, and if they miraculously beat them they still need to get past the titan that is Nearest Airport. unfortunate, better luck next time.
There's a difference between underrated and overhated. He's not underrated, he's just not the best in the world anymore, and neither is his team. But they aren't underrated. People just don't like them. Others do.
I don't slander him because I don't know anything about him or what he does. I don't really have an opinion on Zombs tbh.
Default everything because my parents would obliterate me if I spent money on a game.
I was agreeing with you lmao. Every player can choke. Every player is going to have off days. That's okay. Sometimes it's unfortunate but it's just the way things go. Why do they choke? As you said, could be tons of different reasons. Age is only one of them.
Basically, I'm saying we agree and you're right.
Experience doesn't equate to age but rather exposure.
I literally had no clue what the post was talking about and just guessed. Got it after a bit.
I think he's saying everyone can choke but unless you're 15-17 years old it shouldn't be excused. Which is pepega but ight. I mean in the first place, who are we to excuse a player for choking. And also experience does not equal age.
People shouldn't be required nor obligated to reveal their personal information on this type of site. I'm fine saying I'm a teenager/underage/kid, but others might not be.
Also generally no one should care about what anyone else says on the internet. I mean obviously, that's a pretty cynical viewpoint but the opinions I'm saying no one should care about are the braindead, baiting, clearly stupid, biased, misinformed ones.
As I was writing this I just got what you are talking about lmao. I would probably disagree but it depends on the context I guess. Like if the player continuously makes the same mistakes and never learns even over a long period of time then frustration is valid and due. But 19 and 20 are still young. It's more so how long they have been competing and in the esport that matters, to be honest.
Take a break. Get a mental reset. Cool down for a bit. Take a week or two off.
EU: Fnatic
KR: DRX but really anyone, I just like seeing the region develop so all teams I sort of support
NA: C9 and Guard
BR: MiBR
JP: IGZIST
LATAM: KRU and Leviatan
APAC: probably PRX
Those are my top for the regions. But to be honest, there are a lot of teams that I like.
Yay as a player, but TenZ is more iconic.
yeah of course lmao, no problem. Welcome to VLR.
I'm assuming you mean notable players for NA.
The state of NA valorant is interesting right now as the next VCT is about to start so there are more roster changes than normal. Teams are preparing for the next VCT. So it's a bit more hectic than usual. In terms of internationally. NA I would say is pretty solid. However, they aren't the best and other regions are also developing and growing quickly. So that could change next VCT. The gap between regions is a lot closer than last year that's for sure.
I'll try to go over the top ten teams ranked in the rankings section of NA. Though I won't go in order.
The Guard. They're also pretty new, like you. After some rough beginnings, they picked up Trent and from there shot to the top, becoming NA's first seed. They're a little green but have great potential.
Optic (formerly Envy) is always consistently a top contender. I've never really been interested in Optic so I don't know much about them specifically.
100T, a former top-tier team, went through a lot of roster-related changes and eventually almost replaced their entire team except Asuna. They're looking to regain their title after failing miserably at the start of this year.
Xset is like Optic. Consistently top tier, but unlike Optic, they are never quite good enough.
Sentinels used to be Kings of NA Valorant. They fell hard. Or rather they just never improved and fell behind as other teams surpassed them.
TSM also used to be very good and also fell off, only they weren't as good as Sentinels were and also fell behind earlier. They've gone through a couple of roster changes.
Knights are a team that has been around for a while but are new to being tier one. I like them.
LG is in an odd spot where they're both good but also no one really expects them to win or really anything at all from them. They're good enough to surprise people but never good enough to make it as far as they want.
I'm not really familiar with V1's legacy, but they went to the first international event, did surprisingly well, then went through a slump. Recently though they have made a resurgence with their new IGL. People have high hopes for them even though they fell a bit short this VCT.
Cloud9 went to the last masters and is a contender for the top spot in NA. They are pretty strong and have Vanity as their IGL who was V1's igl during their first international appearance. They and Guard are my personal favorite NA teams. IGL is in-game leader if you don't know.
NRG has been known to have S-Tier Individual Talent, but for some reason when playing together never really achieve anything. This has consistently happened over history. They're still a good team though, at least compared to the others in NA.
Notable players would be...
Probably all of the Guard as I said before. Sayaplayer if I had to choose.
Yay from Optic.
Sick from Sentinels.
Everyone from C9, maybe Leaf if I had to narrow it down.
Zander from V1.
Frosty, Skuba, and Ban from Knights have potential.
Dephh and Cryo from Xset.
I could probably name more or write about not top ten teams with potential but I have some other stuff to do right now.
eh... i wouldn't say they would be a contender for a top spot, but we'll see.
Also wdym tweet...
my favorite teams have all been knocked out unfortunately (drx, fnatic, guard)
so now i will be rooting for Zeta and Optic.
pretty bullshit truce to start with an insult
I prefer tenz watchparties to tarik's but tarik streams to tenz.
