yeah, fr

yep. There was nothing wrong with them, they were just looking out for themselves and trying to secure a relatively stable livelihood. Japan treated them better and provided more opportunities. Neither Japan nor the players that left can be blamed. Especially considering how volatile and unpredictable esports as a career can be. You need to build a brand and become well known, Val is popular in JP so it works out. Better treatment, more exposure, higher game relevance, greater support, etc. Why stay in Korea?

Exactly. Tate is a genius in terms of marketing. He's basically using cancel culture to advertise for him and using divisiveness to boost himself. Sure he's absolutely wrong and his internet career will only last a couple of years maximum, but by the end of that period he will have made an unimaginable amount of money if he continues being intelligent brandwise. He knows what he's doing.

Yeah, Chamber is still one of the best agents in the game. Like Jett, they didn't nerf what made him overpowered. Everything but it actually.

fully agree with this

posted about 2 years ago

franchising would most likely benefit KR.

posted about 2 years ago

I hope they don't play with a 6 man roster. It's literally self-sabotage, as archetype said.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah I completely feel the same. I don't blame them but it really is unfortunate for the growth of the Korean competitive scene.

always correct

posted about 2 years ago

honestly, fair enough

posted about 2 years ago

obviously it happens to all pros not just Guard but it's just so funny to watch people try to lecture Valyn for saying 'fuck your copium come cry in my comments' as if he said something abhorrently disgusting.

posted about 2 years ago

I actually had Guard winning lmfao. I love Saya and will support him wherever he is. But yeah usually my pick ems are extremely fucked and cursed.

posted about 2 years ago

honestly I never even do pick ems by picking the teams I think or know will win. I choose the teams I like the most and want to win the most. Mostly because I don't care about pick-ems, underdog wins and cinderella runs are super entertaining, and upsets are bound to happen anyways so it's nigh impossible to be perfect anyways.

pretty shit trash talk ngl

posted about 2 years ago

yeah i've pretty much lost all hope in DRX ngl. They're good, but they aren't good enough. oh well... I'll still support them but I don't think I'll ever be able to believe they can win.

posted about 2 years ago

I am about as Korean as one could possibly get.

posted about 2 years ago

hmmm this is hard because I like a lot of teams

If I had to narrow it down to one per region then maybe...

KR: DRX
NA: T1 or The Guard
EMEA: Fnatic
Brazil: MiBR
JP: NTH
LATAM: KRU
APAC: PRX

Exactly. If you don't read the books then you'll actually be able to enjoy watching the show without constantly being bothered by what's wrong or different. Then when the show gets unwatchable, switch to the books. By starting with the show you would be able to enjoy both the show and the books to the fullest.

posted about 2 years ago

then wouldn't it be better to watch the show first so it wouldn't be ruined off the bat, and then read the books after?

Give him a chance. He's pretty damn good. Weird name though, I do agree with that. At least it sticks out.

but i wouldn't lie about it

posted about 2 years ago

bro holy fuck LMFAO. I actually choked on my soup, that was a good one.

posted about 2 years ago

exactly, that was my point

posted about 2 years ago

yeah it wasn't lmao. All I meant was that they faced hate and that I haven't ever seen someone even on VLR hate on Sick individually.

posted about 2 years ago

not them their fans. Maybe as individuals, they aren't problematic, but that doesn't stop fanbases from hating on them or being divisive. I don't have anything against either as people, but it's undeniable that they have faced hate and dislike on this platform. That's what I mean by problematic. No one really hates on Sick.

posted about 2 years ago

sick or not it was unlikely

posted about 2 years ago

wishing him the best. family matters can be scary.

posted about 2 years ago

Wishing all the best for SicK. The only unproblematic member of Sentinels.

posted about 2 years ago

they really could have... but they didn't and that is what matters in the end

posted about 2 years ago

No, not yet. But it is very unlikely and they need a lot of things to go right.

Happy birthday HackNaija, hope you're well. Have a great day!

It would give too much credit and power to players. Too much potential for abuse.

posted about 2 years ago

not for vlr users i guess. But you're taking 'honor' too seriously.

posted about 2 years ago

he what? An analyst? Must be joking.

no.

hard vouch

posted about 2 years ago

Why not all of those 3. Multiple teams mean more investment, action, and fun. Better to love than hate.

I can't choose one between those three because I like all of those teams. But I would say my ranking would be C9, NRG, then XSET. Still rooting for all though.

bragging rights

sheesh you are a generous man

Casting is hard fr. Gotta respect their grind as well.

posted about 2 years ago

They can qualify. Upsets happen often. I don't think they will qualify. I think that they are the team with the least chance of being able to qualify. But they could.

posted about 2 years ago

You know it's not like he has you hostage. You can easily just not watch him. If your opinion is that his content is shit at the moment, then click off. You have a choice.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah that's what he said. They aren't top five.

posted about 2 years ago

It's both. You support for personality but results matter. If your team keeps doing dumb shit you get tired of them being stupid. Especially if they do nothing to get better and only make excuses. At that point you only like individuals on the team as entertainers and personas, you don't actually support the team.

i suppose now even his stream is dependent on his performance, rather than the previous conception that he didn't need to perform well because he was still a popular streamer (fanboy perspective 'at least he's still making bank off his stream, with 20k viewers who needs pro play')
