Did you read the post or just start typing instantly?

I mention: "not to say that population directly impacts a regions skill in a game, but you cant deny the numbers tell a story in e-sports"

in regards to people that actually play the game (these numbers are from tracker.gg in 2024): Pacific has the most player base in 3.2M active players, EMEA comes second in 2.7M active players, while Americas has the least active player base in 2.2 million active player base

and the current population of NA is 387,470,923 from the same website. The point of my post was to show that if the person was going to combine north and south America into the entirety of the Americas region to compare populations they should include the entirety of the EMEA region as well.

I like this take.

why the no to leaf flex though? I understand he's an amazing sentinel, but he was great on duelist in the past

If you're wanting to include all of Americas you should also include all of EMEA (I'll include the other regions for fun too)

~3.3 billion population (APAC)
~2.2 billion population (EMEA)
~1.4 billion population (China)
~1.02 billion population (Americas)

Everyone wants to trash the Americas, but for a region thats half the size of EMEA and a third the size of APAC we still finish near the top pretty regularly

nobody even mentioned NA... I talked about Americas as a whole. If you want to get more specific, when was the last time the French won anything in Valorant?

I see this discussion constantly on here and the thing that annoys me is that everyone trashes China and Americas and yet they are the smallest regions statistically.

  1. ~3.3 billion population (APAC)
  2. ~2.2 billion population (EMEA)
  3. ~1.4 billion population (China)
  4. ~1.02 billion population (Americas)

not to say that population directly impacts a regions skill in a game, but you cant deny the numbers tell a story in e-sports

Americas representation in e-sports has dwindled over the years in a ton of e-sports (Overwatch, LoL, CS, etc.) so I'm grateful that the teams in Valorant are still putting on a good show. Hopefully the Americas can go back to the drawing board after Toronto and start fixing some of the glaring issues that were shown during the course of this event.

  • G2 still seem to be really constant, but showed an obvious lack of firepower with Tejo out of the meta now. (I think Jawg needs to start playing Raze a little more and maybe they can start flexing Leaf onto an off duelist in some maps for a double duelist comp)
  • SEN have some serious mental instability. They get in their heads very quickly when the other teams gains any momentum. I also think its insane that they put Zekken on Omen on Ice box and Waylay on Ascent.
  • MIBR seemed like they didn't even want to be at the event tbh. Their mental was shot from the very first round and just never recovered.

Hopefully they dont make any changes any time soon, but if champs doesn't go well I could see a replacement for sacy happening. Depends on if he wants to go back to BR tbh. If sacy gets replaced I hope its for verno or brawk

If we're doing this might as well get rid of EG for OXG too lol

That's just not true in the slightest. Loud had a strong showing in the group stage due to good teamwork and unknown comps. Both LEV and SEN had game play for Loud to practice on whereas Loud did nothing public during the off-season. They wont match up again in the playoffs due to both Sen and Loud being in the same group, but if they did I think Sen would have a much stronger game plan against them (maybe like 50%-60% chance for Sen to win). NRG doesn't look very cohesive yet and I would honestly be shocked if Sen couldn't manage a win against them just off of trading and a relatively similar map pool. 40% for a win against EG is just hater mentality, that team while well coached is middle of the pack at best. If Sen make it out of the play-ins I think they have a solid chance to make it to Madrid.
