boo hoo

posted 3 months ago

i mean sure, but clearly you can tell that he probably thrives in that pressure, being put on duelist for a tournament, a role you don’t like, and playing insane like that, it’s clear he’s good under pressure.

posted 3 months ago

the thing is, miniboo has really been anywhere close to as good as a duelist to where it’s worth it to say it’s better he plays duelist

posted 3 months ago

what makes you think being a duelist give you morepressure??

posted 3 months ago

Just put the mf on duelist, miniboo can play flex,

posted 3 months ago

i really don’t know what to expect

posted 3 months ago

the way i see it is that, FUT beat Fnatic at Shanghai pretty easily. Fnatic then lost their 1st/2nd best player and although hiro has been doing insane, and fnatic has also improved as a team. There is nothing except that loss to TH(understandable loss) that can really justify putting FUT below Fnatic

posted 3 months ago

why does it favor fnatic?? Have ppl not been watch FUT, they are def EMEA no. 2 seed

posted 3 months ago

these mfs got me stressin at 6 am bruh,

i rly didn’t want this to go to bind, i have no idea how DRXGC holds up on that map

posted 3 months ago

ironic coming from you of all people

posted 3 months ago

they didn’t look like they were experimenting.
New new comps were cooked up and they basically tried to do what they did at masters in stage 2 and it wasn’t working out, they still have time to cook, but saying that we’re experimenting it’s just wrong

posted 3 months ago

they are getting grouped

posted 3 months ago

Rb is doing well prolly make lots of money in china, gonna prolly come back to APAC since he has proven himself to be a great addition. Zest most likely will retain his spot on BLEED.
Stax is not igling anymore(his preference) and is on a very promising T1 team for next year. The narrative that we left these players out to rot and that they deserve “justice” needs to stop, they are all fine and I think 2/3 of them even attended one of the playoff games to support DRX

posted 3 months ago

dropping termi makes no sense, i doubt you can find a better korean coach than him, and despite everything, you can always count on him to help DRX place decently, now finally we have a team with the potential to take us to the next level

posted 3 months ago

how we feeling rn. I think a win against PRX might actually overdose me with copium

posted 3 months ago

You hate watch DRX tho

posted 3 months ago

he’s the only good duelist emea has except woot and N4RRATE but those 2 are flex

posted 3 months ago

What team could pick up either Leo or Hiro next year and become contenders???

posted 3 months ago

yeah, if you look past his stats, i see his only weakness is the fact that he looks to take first contact too many times, especially on defense. That’s a fixable issue, also he’s been switching roles so much this year that it’s only natural he has some struggles

posted 3 months ago

Just needs more time, he was switched roles a lot for a while.

Duelist to flex to sentinel back to flex, he also needs to use the phantom more but thats just my opinion

posted 3 months ago

drx haven’t really ever choked at international tho, the only time you can think of that they choked was maybe Tokyo. Other than that, they were a top 6 team that ended up getting top 6. apax is only now becoming a strong region so b4, getting top 1 or 2 in the region wasn’t that impressive

posted 3 months ago

2022 aspas wasn’t close to the best on LOUD

posted 3 months ago

LESS > Pancada > Aspas >=Sacy

posted 3 months ago

that’s what i’m saying, he was deadass playing sentinel at the start of split 2, and he wasn’t playing well, and it also forced a weird dynamic since flashback can’t really play initiator

posted 3 months ago

How we feeling

BeYn played good
MaKo played well too
Flashback was alright
BuZz had an off game, really unfortunate since he can’t beat those allegations
Foxy9 did his job well enough but made quite a few mistakes

Our biggest problems
DRX keep getting picked off one by one
I can understand since DRX’s playstyle on attack is very slow, but it’s like every time they get a pick on a lurk, unless we have an ult or unless we get a pick back, the round is lost
Also, DRX need to prolly make foxy9 play a lot more reserved, so he doesn’t die first so many times

posted 3 months ago

wdym giving their all for seeding?? what’s makes you think that. Also stage 2 has a prize pool

posted 3 months ago

being up by multiple rounds and losing is not choking. This game is very momentum heavy.

posted 3 months ago

they didn’t lose confidence. Gen G took a timeout and the team changed pace. It was hard for DRX to adjust quickly and Gen G started piling rounds on

posted 3 months ago

Strong performance, only team to take Gen G to map 3 in pacific playoffs so far. We are only getting better from here

posted 3 months ago

when did they choke?

posted 3 months ago

They look insane as usual. It feels like you don’t even get peekers advantage against them, they are very on point. Hopefully we play them in grand final

posted 3 months ago

I saw someone said the game ends 13-7, idk if it’s a troll or not

posted 3 months ago

How far ahead are you guys, is the game over yet?

posted 3 months ago

I think DRX are back to level we were at in stage 1, or right above that level. But it seems like we aren’t always ready to take fights for some reason, looks like they are always more aware than us

posted 3 months ago

JUST MAYBE IF WE WIN DOUBLE PISTOL AGAIN

posted 3 months ago

WHERE ALL THE BEYN HATERS AT NOW.

I love stax and i get you guys love stax too but hating on him because he’s the one that replaced stax’s role isn’t fair

Sooo happy he popped off

posted 3 months ago

That’s my fucking team

posted 3 months ago

let’s make a final push for map 3

posted 3 months ago

tbf, this is his 36th VCT match this year

posted 3 months ago

he’s only kinda a ranked demon. He was on DRX prospects but he’s also very good in ranked

posted 3 months ago

2024 clearly goes to Gen G atp

posted 3 months ago

placed better in both tokyo and LA

posted 3 months ago

i personally they lose to any team that runs the double control controller effectively

posted 3 months ago

yes, MaKo went +4 against him while flashback went even

posted 3 months ago

This might be a bit premature to say.

But doesn’t it feel like we are already back to the form we had in stage 1?

This team has so much potential

posted 3 months ago

MaKo wasn’t lying when he said DRX would have won champs 2022 if they all had flashbacks aim

HERES THE FULL INTERVIEW from reddit
Summary of Talon & DRX Post-Match Press Conferences

I haven't done one of these in a few months because u/SNH231 has been killing it with the transcribing lately, but these two together felt particularly fun.

Frost & Crws

  • Frost says that losing sucks but their entire focus is Champs, and on getting Primmie more reps; esp. focusing on how to best combine Primmie and Governor on the lineup.
  • Crws says they're just trying to get cohesive as a team and to find what makes Primmie feel comfortable.
  • Crws mentioned a round where a call was made and a teammate forgot the strat; a lot of misplays led to econ snowballs in the series.
  • Frost mentioned they've got loads of Abyss comps, everyone is just trying to tease out what's best; Talon went with Breach for example, DRX/Secret went with KAYO.
  • Frost says in particular that they went with the Breach for Primmie, and that the diff. between Governor and Primmie is that Governor is a true duelist while Primmie is at the moment just a great player. They have to figure out what suits him; they've changed like all their strats since bringing him on.
  • Frost finishes by saying he doesn't know what the meta comp is for Abyss but it's looking like standard, double recon Ascent-esque compositions, minus the KJ. But he's still not too certain.
  • Crws says the mid for Abyss is very different from other maps and requires a lot of bodychecking.
  • Frost interrupts a question about how Talon will prepare for PRX by straight-up saying they won't be preparing for PRX. Their entire prep is about Champs, nothing more. If they win against PRX, it'll be great because it means more reps for Primmie, so they'll try to win, but their focus is on Champs.
  • Frost then says none of the teams in playoffs are seriously preparing anti/counters, and then catches himself and says that one of the teams did, but now that team "blew their load" and they're "kinda screwed now with their map bans. So that's a good job to you, to know, to try and win this one for ego, but good luck in the future, because yeah, you showed a lot." (Presumably this is DRX)
  • Frost finishes up by saying PRX will be hard and that they're the most pure aimers in Pacific, whereas Gen.G is the most tactical. Either way, good reps for Primmie and the team. Probably a similar map veto to the last one, but Abyss is out now (he then says sorry Alecks - maybe implying they'll ban it)?

Termi & Buzz

  • Buzz said he's happy to make it to the upper bracket finals, but he also really wanted to win today because Frost had been "talking smack on social media" and he felt Frost had gone a little over the line. So Buzz really wanted to smash them today, feeling satisfied.
  • Termi is happy to secure top 3 in Pacific, and it means they have a better chance of playing in the SK Olympic Handball stadium. But they still need to improve, they are aiming for Champs.
  • Termi asked about picking Abyss, he says that Talon's Abyss didn't look too well-developed and so they felt confident they could take them on it.
  • Termi asked if the team achieved what they sought to achieve today; he's mostly happy but there are always mistakes to be fixed.
  • Buzz asked about Abyss, says the map feels new even for them since you can fall off and die, so it's a new experience.
  • Buzz asked about facing Gen.G tomorrow, he says there isn't much prep-time. But he's excited to play against Munchkin, as Buzz and Munchkin began their time in Valorant together (on C9 Korea) and that Munchkin taught him a lot.

EDIT: Not sure why it says I crossposted from r/Conferences but it's pretty funny so whatever.

Why does he only talk shit after he loses

Not even after he wins, after he loses… i don’t understand this guy
