Copium = FPX only lost because they didn’t have suygetsu

Hopium = FPX will win copenhagen

because there is only 2 masters, they are very close together, and the second masters is worth a lot more points than the second: Champions just feels like the same exact tournament as Masters 2

ik there is LCQ and more teams so it will feel a bit more unique, but like cmon, I am SO tired of watching the same teams over and over agian. FPX, FNC, OpTic, XSET, PRX, XIA, DRX, LOUD, and probably KRU? Only difference between Champions and Masters 2 is ZETA. Last year, there were 3 Masters and they were split farther apart, so the scene felt completely different in Champs than in Reykjavik. no V1, NUTURN etc, and it felt like a new era with gambit, acend, 100T, G2

valorant tournament ended? let me just randomly start costreaming map 3 of IEM cologne... so cringe

another 12-11, this is a coinflip simulator

posted about 2 years ago

not the top 12 teams in the world, u cant say NTH or XIA are top 12. The real top 12 would prolly be like 4-5 each of EU and NA with maybe PRX and DRX

posted about 2 years ago

It's just that everyone knows how to play the game now

I agree, i just think there is a limit to where u cant get better than that. in CS people are always discovering new things and the skill cap is insanely high, but in valorant it seems most top teams have done all they really can do and they cant get much better than this

posted about 2 years ago

there should be minor regions, every other game has them and valorant doesnt not because the population of players are equal across regions but because its random

posted about 2 years ago

yes everyone is even in skill thats why its close, that is the problem. The skill cap should be a lot higher so you can clearly see reallly good teams and meh teams, i just want some juicy blowouts

like when i watch CS and i see a team like Movistar Riders beat G2 and Vitality, i can clearly see that this team is very skilled. But watching this game KRU beating LOUD and Guild, they dont do anything that skilled to me it just looks like they are even in terms of skill and very minor things just went in their favor and they won

posted about 2 years ago

it feels like every map is close now, i think every team at this level of competition has reached the peak skill and at this point it is just mostly random

back in the day u would see blowouts between good teams and bad teams but it seems u cant really improve beyond a certain point anymore and every game is close

at Copenhagen:
OpTic vs Guild (11-13, 14-16)
LOUD vs KRU (10-13, 13-9, 10-13)
FPX vs XIA (14-12, 9-13, 13-10)
Guild vs KRU (12-14)

only blowout was DRX vs NTH

plus every grand final seems random and too close
OpTic vs LOUD (13-9, 14-12, 15-13)
Gambit vs Acend ended 3-2 with lots of close maps
Gambit vs Envy (15-13, 13-11, 13-9)
Sentinels vs Fnatic (14-12, 16-14, 13-11)

i just want a lot more blowouts so i can see there is a clear skill gap, cuz it just seems like every match between two decent teams ends somewhere between 13-9 to overtime

posted about 2 years ago

Cuz this game is random it feels like most maps on lan between competitive teams end 13-11

100T fans still holding on to that one win like they didnt get exposed in playoffs

ur being downvoted by these 14 year olds but ur very right

The problem is that if Tarik for whatever reason doesnt costream a tournament, then his 50-60k viewers dont all go to the main stream. maybe only like 20k. Thats cuz people either rely on him to costream in order to be entertained by the tournament or like tarik's personality but doesnt care enough about the game

posted about 2 years ago

its not organic growth of the scene to always have watch parties, it definitely is better for the scene if the main channel has 130k viewers instead of 30k viewers with a 100k tarik watchparty

posted about 2 years ago

its because people lost interest in LANs and the game relies too much on watch parties which it should never have done

posted about 2 years ago

No crowd for groups is smart thats what all CS tournaments do, but even still no crowd events after like two years is a huge L

posted about 2 years ago

Apex is on Vitality actually

posted about 2 years ago

I think everyone can agree the scene is getting a bit stale, and franchising will make it even more boring because only a small number of teams

So let’s say Riot hires you as head of Valorant Esports

What format do you do to revive this scene and make it a lot better so it grows instead of declines

posted about 2 years ago

Except fnatic have been to 4 LANs by now

posted about 2 years ago

And FNC swept Fpx too

posted about 2 years ago

i didnt even know it was tomorrow until u posted this

posted about 2 years ago

And people say they aren’t getting into franchising

posted about 2 years ago

its cuz no one cares about LANs anymore, i remember back last year at iceland people posted pros in ranked games against each other and analyzed their K/D, sad how the format killed this game

The community is younger and more cringe too, due to how old CS is a lot of the crowd are 18-25 year olds but lots of the valorant community are like 15

Valorant needs more hype teams, most of the scene seems bland

RESPONSE TO DEAD GAME RESPONSE

  1. Random cities in CS fill up way more. If people want to watch it they would fly there, but most people are indifferent. Look at the Antwerp major, it’s not like Belgium is a huge CS nation but people travelled from all across Europe to come there. Same with Cologne its not all Germans people travel.

  2. There are only like a few teams in this game that are even hype. I feel like there is 0 personality in this scene

  3. It’s not gonna sell out there is just no motivation to watch this esport imo

Too many LANs killed this game

posted about 2 years ago

As shown here, Grand Finals ticket situation is currently at around 60% sold, and semis at 40%. These are already partial crowds, and yet the Grand finals has still yet to sell out.

Looks like no one wants to watch this dead game on LAN. It was also dumb to put it in Copenhagen when no one cares about valorant

It’s gonna sound like a library during the grand final

posted about 2 years ago

For PRX and Northeption to flop so you can stop simping for these trash ass asian regions

posted about 2 years ago

vlr stop simping for asian teams challenge... xia is the second worst team at this event only ahead of northeption

LOUD > DRX
