Since Korea has always been known as a one-team region, what are your thoughts on the other 2 Korean francised teams? After watching both teams play 2 BO3's and lose, what are your expectations for both teams? Not just in Brazil, cause its hard to judge single elimination, but also in the Pacific League.

Personally, I was more impressed with Gen.G, especially since Meteor played with a wrist injury and they were playing Habor (which is troll af). With the Chamber meta over, hopefully eKo can move to full-time initiator and Meteor can play the duelist.

T1 was extremely disappointing IMO. Not sure why Saya was playing full-time Neon and why Xeta is on Kay/O instead of Sova. And if they intend to keep Carpe, he should honestly move to play smokes. Hopefully they improve a ton if not they're gonna lose to Furia and be in the bottom half of the Pacific league.

I think NTH has a shot even though they don’t have a roster yet. They have a good track record of scouting talent seeing that they had 2 separate successful rosters.

There was literally no meta in 2020. The game was so new and teams were playing all sorts of things. Triple duelist, double sentinel, Omen + Brim. Double duelist only became meta in the beginning of 2021.

Also saying Vision Strikers had no competition till Nuturn is completely false. In 2020, C9 Korea & T1 Korea were able to challenge VS. T1 were 2 maps up in a BO5 against VS but got reverse swept. VS had opposition.

Laz and crow has been with Zeta since the beginning of Valorant. They seem satisfied with org and Zeta also seems like a good org. Doubt its a contract jail situation.

Its not really a fluke though cause they did dominate Japan till they lost in the finals

He only played bad at Reykjavik though. He actually played really well at Champs if you see the stats and watched the game. I feel like people only remember his one whiff against Loud and think that he played bad.

Laz did say in an interview that they only had 3 days of practice with Tennn before their first game. And originally they had Laz on Raze to fill Tennn's role, since Xdll was an initiator. That's why Laz ended up playing a bunch of Skye/KayO at Champs. Because he took over Xdll's role to let Tennn back into his original role. Source

They did decent at Champs considering their situation and the group they had. I have them at 3rd behind DRX and PRX. I think teams like T1, Gen.G and the others need time since they're are very new rosters.

Yeah, no mention of Monyet. He only really talked about the Korean scene.

Same. Maybe Meteor since he’s played Raze before? But I think it’s a waste to not have him on Chamber.

He didn’t mention Lmemore.

He confirmed Elmapuddy is head coach but didn’t talk about the language barrier.

Coach bail talked on stream about his thoughts while creating the roster (Source)

  1. He trialed almost every known pro in the Korean scene.
  2. People may call it TNL 2.0 but he didn't purposely recreate TNL. He specifically told eKo that he may not be picked and he's just giving him the opportunity to trial. eKo did well in the trial hence he was picked up.
  3. Meteor, TS, k1Ng was pretty much guaranteed on the roster . The other 3 were picked from trials.
  4. iNTRO can be looked forward to next year and thinks will grow a lot under his coaching.
  5. Secret will most likely not be playing unless necessary. He thinks Secret has a lot of potential to grow so he picked him as the 6th.
  6. He didn't bring JoxJo along with him and Meteor because they think about the game differently as coach and IGL. He says JoxJo is still a good player.
  7. Two players who he almost passed were Wenty and Lakia.
    • Wenty is mechanically talented but was lacking in the teamplay aspect. (Valorant is a team game after all)
    • Lakia currently has a wrist injury. If he could give Lakia time to recover, he probably would have passed him but due to the soft lock deadline he couldn't.
  8. He offered t3xture and exy but there were difference in opinions between the two orgs. He said he couldn't go into details about this.
  9. Gen.G is still looking to create a global roster so changes will probably be made in the future.
