I thought that too, but EG also got rolled by FNC's Lotus. EG did, however, have that 14-12 Lotus win vs FUT, but that also means there's much more material to study against them. And I'm not sure PRX would spend a lot of time coming up with new strats on their permaban considering the already limited time they have with their sub.
As much as I want EG to win this, I think PRX has a heavy experience advantage over them. From the Americas playoffs, we can see that EG didn't really have the stamina to win a Bo5 against NRG, and I'm not sure there's much you can do to prepare for Bo5s other than having more officials in them. I don't see EG winning this unless they convincingly 3-0 the more experienced PRX.
Predictions:
EG ban Bind
PRX ban Haven
EG pick Fracture (EG 13 - 8 PRX)
PRX pick Lotus (8 - 13)
EG pick Ascent (13 - 7)
PRX pick Pearl (6 - 13)
Split was left over (4 - 13)
EG can win if they squeeze out a close win on Lotus (15-13), but they definitely burn out by map 4 like in playoffs.
mibr and C9
The cycle must be completed. mibr gave EG their playoff chance, and C9 lost their Tokyo spot to EG. This will fix our timeline.
