what was it?

I got told I was privileged for wanting to not have political discourse on VLR and people put me on a side when I told people to not bring either onto the forums. It's why it's just not appropriate here, it's for esports and discussions about the game and people are bringing in real issues and putting people on sides for important topics when it just isn't the place to.

posted 6 months ago

sadly
political discourse is extremely important
vlr is just not the place.

yeah and I'm worried it'll be harder to get a strong midround together as secondary IGL while fragging if the protocols are different or he's doing it under someone who isn't as experienced / a new system. a team can have multiple IGLs, melser is IGL, so is keznit.

posted 6 months ago

keznit is midrounding, not a pure IGL but still worried about it as he might have more responsibility during the midround as Melser is a less experienced/newer IGL compared to Klaus

posted 6 months ago

could be cooking but worried keznit won't be a strong enough to IGL while keeping his performance

Glad to see my boy Ramses Valentino Erasmus Koivukangas make it to the main stage. Yeah, that's right. I call him by his full name because we're close like that.

a lot of the time it's the biggest fans who are the biggest haters. you get a lot more upset if something you WANT to go your way doesn't "WHY IS THIS TEAM LOSING??? THEY SHOULDN'T BE LOSING???" rather than a team you don't even care about losing "why should I care, might even be good for me"

kinda washed but still feel like they could make a decent run
I mean 100T is already kinda washed too, but they could still make a decent run
if we're talking about CHAMPIONSHIP teams it's
Pacific: Paper Rex, Gen.G
Americas: Sentinels
EMEA: Heretics

posted 6 months ago

I wouldn't mind seeing:
ethan initiator
demon1 duelist/controller flex (jett maps)
s0m duelist/controller flex (raze maps)
fns flex
and pick up a new 5th

this would work especially since apparently the two who started the s0m/fns drama and kick was crashies and victor. I wouldn't be surprised if NRG management added bad s0m and FNS because of the disaster and the team environment is kinda awkward. just pure speculation though.

posted 6 months ago

if we're counting teams that could make deep runs:
PACIFIC 2.5 team region: GENG, PRX, maybe RRQ
EMEA 2.5 team region: TH, maybe FNC, maybe FUT, maybe KC
AMER 3 team region: SEN, maybe LEV, maybe KRU, maybe g2, maybe 100T
but in all honesty the only team with 2 deep run teams is Pacific currently, both NA/EMEA have been inconsistent besides EMEA having Heretics

they all speak english
kamyk sub for fnatic (english)
grubinho in KOI (english)
patitek sub for heretics (english)
kajaak + molsi in APEKS (english)

posted 6 months ago

oh yeah I forgot about profek. in all honesty grubinho is playing fantastic in T1, one of the only highlights of KOI and profek just recently had an upturn, I'd be more willing to try out grubinho first.
buld is definitely not as good as patitek and kamyk is steps about krejzzs and jas in terms of an actual sentinel rather than duelist who sometimes plays sentinel

just as a note, if APEKS wanted to make the roster I made but with profek, it could actually have the potential to happen since kamyk and profek's teams definitely pay less than apeks and have less of a chance to ascend, and patitek may not get T1 offers for a bit and if he sees a Polish team built to be a strong contender, he might want to join.

Where around in China are you travelling to? If you have the chance and you're in the Guangzhou or just the general Guangdong province, try Cha Siu Bao. Very popular Dim Sum item in the US, but also very popular in the area and super good!

posted 6 months ago

yes.

MOLSI - flex/igl
kaajak - duelist
paTiTek - initiator
kamyk - sentinel
grubinho - controller

best part is that every single player on this roster is extremely flexible too, so they can cook on tons of maps. I made a thread of Polish Superteam before but this one is truly perfect to me.

I only played a bit of closed access but I found it enjoyable for the time I played, no reason to not just give it a shot and if you're not a fan uninstall it

a really good roasted red salsa
there's as place near me that makes theirs homemade using an old family recipe using super deeply roasted red chilies. best thing you'll have on ANYTHING, super spicy though. even goes good on burgers.

for sure, people can call him out for just being a "solid performer" but he is an international tournament winner. the vibes, aura, confidence and experience he brings to the team is just an added value to him performing solid.

posted 6 months ago

everyone glazing verno and reduxx but man skuba is actually one of the best fragging controllers in NA and on top of that it's clear mitch is a good IGL.
+dapr brings that aura ofc

and not shao?

posted 6 months ago

that's also probably a factor, and it's easier to have burnout if things aren't going your way / your coach gets kicked

posted 6 months ago

shao wins a 1v3 and it's high fives and nice! but barely any smiles besides him. ardiis aces and is stone faced. it looks like they don't even enjoy playing the game anymore. apparently na'vi management kicked erik and not the team, so they're all pretty upset about it and obviously playing worse. really sad spot to be in as the players on the team, like them or not.

posted 6 months ago

I really liked it personally, I just think it's not talked as much because the timezone was bad for EU+NA viewers so they don't have as much of an experience with it and much to talk about.

worked out fine, glad to hear!! but I still disagree with what they did. if you earned the money, it's yours. I'd still hide it better :p

that's insane
most teams are almost always run by players making roster moves, crazy to see an org make one with seemingly 0 knowledge of the actual issues.
