4 sea? lmao

posted about 2 years ago

oh fan wise and popularity CR is bigger at least in terms of valorant. i say dgw is 'bigger' since they have higher salaries and have a long history and reputation. depends on ur definition of 'bigger'

posted about 2 years ago

t1 has to be in pacific right? since they failed americas. if they play their cards right we can get a team that has more firepower than drx

posted about 2 years ago

surely suggest doesnt stay on dgw....surelyyy

posted about 2 years ago

not just league, they are a big org who have a decade of esport history. plus if i remember correctly they have really high salaries

posted about 2 years ago

makes sense, way bigger than cr

L, 2015-2016 bts negs any kpop group

posted about 2 years ago

that would make it 4 korean teams :/ I honestly hope we get 3, so we can form superteams and the talent isn't spread out too much

posted about 2 years ago

pacific is not confirmed...t1 back to Korea? that would make my day

posted about 2 years ago

not on 5 rosters lmao

posted about 2 years ago

so braindead, if there really is 5 kr orgs obviously it doesn't mean 5 korean teams

posted about 2 years ago

emea is simply going down from 12 teams to 10 teams. superteams will be harder to form than you think

no shot damwon has jp players. maybe geng

no shot, t1s star player munching specifically wants to play in the us

posted about 2 years ago

no he was already on the academy roster, hes a 'trainee' now

posted about 2 years ago

which org? the only reason i suggested suggest and meteor is because they have experience in the tier 1 scene and would more likely adjust to drx's playstyle better but ssun is definitely up there at least in terms of firepower.

posted about 2 years ago

firepower right now may not seem that important but going into next year i think it will be super important regarding superteams forming. i think loud is a sneak peak into how strong teams will be both mechanically and strategically.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah i agree, i have faith in this roster to win a title in the future and i think champions is just a sneak peak into what we will see next year. regarding beyn tho his duelist seems to be a bit lackluster in utage but his chamber and jett seem fine, honestly dont have much to say about him given the small sample size in 2022 but at least rolewise i think drx would prefer mika over beyn

posted about 2 years ago

i agree, im really banking on father time to develop drx into even better versions of themselves. i think the potential this roster can develop into is greater than if they just brought in a new player but i can see why people want someone like meteor and i would say its a more 'safer' option in terms of title chances. and ofc ive been watching this lineup for years so watching the roster change might not feel the same anymore.

posted about 2 years ago

even if thats the case i highly doubt they will experiment with multiple roster lineups tho. i agree tho, rb on neon is too good and may make him irreplaceable by other korean players

posted about 2 years ago

i think drx is more aggressive and 'daring' than people think especially on defense, but i kinda agree. thats all the more reason people want DRX Meteor. he had the best first blood rate at masters and a lot of that was simply him solopeeking with no util backup and raw aimdiffing everyone.

Route 1
Run It Back
Reasons why:

  • drx is young and has room to improve (2nd youngest at champs and youngest at masters)
  • top 3 run with only a couple months of practice of role swap and last minute changes to team comp showcases high potential of the roster
  • drx's style is unique and new players may be unable to adjust to drx's coordination, util usage and team synergy
  • already high synergy and will be better than most teams straight off the bat

Cons:

  • with superteams forming due to franchising, it may be difficult for drx to keep up with the firepower coming from other teams
  • same playstyle with same members means more predictability going into next year

Route 2
Roster Change (ie rb gets dropped :( )
Potential player 1: Meteor
Pros:

  • biggest jett/chamber carry in east asia
  • tier 1 and international experience
  • strong operator threat (buzz is slightly inconsistent)
  • highest first blood rate in masters 2 2022
  • would allow drx to have flexibility in their team comp with buzz (i envision buzz on jett/raze/neon & meteor on chamber on certain maps and meteor on jett & buzz on killjoy on other maps)
  • would eliminate the potential firepower advantage that other teams may gain from franchising

Cons

  • sometimes overheats/not as disciplined potentially meaning a clash with drx's playstyle
  • reliant on buzz learning to flex even more than he already has (filling rb's kayo role)
  • adjusting to drx's playstyle could result in a degradation of his own performance and may not be as good as we are thinking it might be

Potential Player 2: suggest
Pros:

  • tier 1 and international experience
  • would fill rb's role almost perfectly (plays raze, jett, kayo and chamber; no doubt he can learn killjoy given hes demonic on other sentinels, his neon is unknown tho)
  • high firepower (was annihilating japan, 1.4 kd 260 acs kayo, 2 kd 320 acs chamber, 1.5 kd 300 acs jett)
  • consistent fill player
  • carry of nuturn when lakia left on fill agents (2021 but still)

Cons:

  • high stats doesnt equate the potential util usage and synergy loss that may occur
  • his performance vs international competition is unknown as it has been a long time

Potential Player 3: mika
this is a bit of a weird one as mika has stepped up from the academy roster. it is unknown about drx's plans for him in the future but mika has shown a great performance in the utage season 5 tournament (many tier 1 jp/kr players competed) as a sentinel player with 2 kd 300 acs cypher, 1.6 kd 300 acs chamber and 1.15 kd 205 acs killjoy, thus potentially showing his ability to fill rb's sentinel role. however this is a small sample size and may not be reflective of his performance if he was to face against tier 1 and international competition and his kayo/neon performance is unknown.

Players I would like to see:
Estrella: high firepower on sentinel/controller and is at the same time a duelist main. in general good showing in lcq considering it was his first tier 1 experience and carried ONS on his back some rounds and games. however slightly lackluster on the kayo role and his inexperience has showed in some rounds. would love to see him get trained by drx at least as i believe he is one of the future of korean valorant.

What other players did I miss?

posted about 2 years ago

bro don't be like that, as much as I am annoyed that we lost because of a bonus, optic had the skill to pull off the bonus ie they were better last night

posted about 2 years ago

we were 11-13 vs optic on bind when buzz dropped 6 kills. i dont think we needed much change but lets see

posted about 2 years ago

depends, if fns pulls a stinker like yesterday drx take this comfortably but if fns plays his average game probabaly a optic 3-2 or a close 3-1

nah ngl g2 wasn't a fluke they were strong asf

icebox is a huge question mark for me, ik drx got shat on by fnc but it may very well be because of them not being used to fncs team comp considering they r the only team that use 4 senti on that map

posted about 2 years ago

for kr definitely estrella for me, even tho he trolled some rounds due to his inexperience, his firepower on sentinel/controller is great. hopefully he makes the cut

posted about 2 years ago

exy is so good on controller (have no clue why he was put on initiator) and sylvan

idk if Harry will make a team tbh, he's good but idk if he's top 10/15 of korean players
