I mean, it doesn't look like it's working anymore ... it might not be old meta, but the point is the opposition are going to figure you out eventually if you don't adapt, no matter if the comp is meta or not.

Both teams look like they haven't changed anything since Champions and even Masters 3, running basically the same comps, same strats, how do they expect to be the top of NA running the same stuff over and over?

posted about 2 years ago

SEN don't suck, but they've fallen off, not really seeing what you're saying here ?

posted about 2 years ago

even easier way:

  • drop SEN roster
  • buy Acend or Gambit roster

LMAO 100T literally got 5-6th in Masters 2 qualifier

hazed and bang are team players, their stats look bad because they are playing for the team and not just throwing for stats

posted about 2 years ago

what i mean is that TSM and Gen.G being the favorites comes from their big fanbase, not actual recent results

posted about 2 years ago

no shot dephh, sick, and even sinatraa are joining that shitfest

posted about 2 years ago

I don't even think some of these are upsets, TSM and Gen.G look pretty shit and just lost to the better team, they just have the name value of being bigger orgs. I'd say RNG - Cosmic Divide, KCP-BBG and T1-VIRTUOSO are the only real upsets, maybe Complexity-Soar and FaZe-Ghost, but I wouldn't say Complexity and FaZe are heavy favorites either

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but: https://twitter.com/JakeSucky/status/1487913945511825408/photo/1

Really shitty move to lie about stuff like that, especially since the person accused (seven I think) is just a kid

posted about 2 years ago

should've made T1 and TSM replay split with TSM starting 7-0

posted about 2 years ago

TBF I don't really consider GenG, TSM, FaZe and LG as close to top NA teams in this tourney, watch the four teams still in the upper bracket for a better view

are about to make Masters

the entire sentinels org's brand is kind of just talking shit, what do you expect

Just because two fairly decent people at CS couldn't make the jump doesn't mean s1mple couldn't???

s1mple is 4 tiers above Jonji and Cooper

"he didn’t get what some agents do" that's because he barely plays the game, probably only a few times on stream in a few months and that's it. the guy is known as the GOAT for a reason, maybe it'll take a while but if he commits to VALORANT I could easily see him being one of the best, if not the best, after a year

posted about 2 years ago

After he joins NV pick up Marved and yay, they place second in Berlin, how has no one picked this guy up yet?

posted about 2 years ago

they might as well just stream their perspectives for the vct games at this point

posted about 2 years ago

Great articles! TBH I think leaf should be a little higher, since his team did kind of suck for a good portion of the year and it wasn't really his fault. I think this year he'll be in the top 10 100%

posted about 2 years ago

I think they will, a lot of T1 teams are either rebuilding and some of them are bound to fail, or are basically just stream teams now. Maybe not the next challengers, but these T2 teams who put in the effort, like Rise, will make it eventually

posted about 2 years ago

if so that's such a stupid argument, how is keloqz supposed to get enough t1 experience if to join a t1 team you need t1 experience? he was great in berlin and only up from here, he's a young talent that's going to be a superstar in the next few years if a team invests into his potential

nukkye's a great player skill-wise but in all the teams he's been in he's had disagreements with players

Quit valorant a few weeks after six games in a row lost by getting baited by duelist teammate bottom fraggers in gold, best decision of my life.

posted about 2 years ago

Where is he?

posted about 2 years ago

That's true, but still pretty impressive since they kind of rolled both teams 2-0, and 100T just went on a streak of beating Gambit and Acend earlier. It's definitely easier to anti-strat NA teams, but you have to admit that the Envy at berlin looked a hell of a lot better than the Envy that lost to X10

Sentinels: Honestly, I feel like this iteration of Sentinels (without any roster changes) has already hit its peak, and I just don't think they have the drive to win anymore. Even after such a poor performance at Berlin, they continue to not scrim, according to vanity I think (?), and stream everyday, and it shows in their gameplay. I have faith in Shahzam, SicK, dapr, and even TenZ, although he choked hard the last map to get back into Iceland form if they get the motivation to start putting in the work, but I genuinely think it's time to drop zombs, not because of his poor performance but his "don't care" mentality is really hurting the team, I feel. If they can get a solid smokes who can mix well with the team and add some motivation back into the roster, I can see them return to greatness.

Envy: I love all these players, but what the fuck is the org doing, dropping the coach that got them a 2nd place finish in Berlin for Chet, who has done nothing across two teams? They have great players but the team play/prep is not great, at least way worse than their Berlin performance. Also victor has been struggling a lot recently on the skye, he's an insane player and has proved it before, but maybe a role change is needed for him to hit those peaks again.

C9: This team looks great, all five of the players are so good, they're getting comfortable on LAN now, and I genuinely believe that they have a chance to win the whole event (Acend looked a lot worse onstage than in the hotels, Gambit looks shaky, and the C9 match will be Liquid's first time onstage so they maybe will have LAN nerves).

Thoughts?

If Keyd can get Sacy and maybe Saadhak, they can be one of the best teams in the world. Great utility usage and insane aim

I really hope VK can keep up the scrim magic they're apparently having, it'd be so cool to have a Brazil redemption arc after getting laughed at the past two masters

You can apply this logic to any team -_- Vivo Keyd played a decently close game against Envy and now they finally stopped being heat and friends, I guess VK = Envy now

Acend = Envy is just plain wrong, even 100T beat Acend lmao

I'm honestly not really confident about Liquid at all. They are good for sure, but just like before Iceland, they added a new player (at the time Jamppi, now Nivera) and all of a sudden everyone on the team individually popped off, they brought in new comps/strats too (this time the double op) that teams couldn't adapt to, but by the LAN the honeymoon period settled down and they did pretty average. I'm not saying this will 100% happen, but definitely a possibility.

Sentinels could absolutely be the best team in the world, but at this point I wonder if they even care or not. Still no (announced) coach, still streaming hours each day (from what i can tell shahzam has been streaming 8+ hours every day for a while now, i dont see how you have scrim time with that), and zombs kinda gives off the vibe that he couldn't care less if they win or not. like surely it cant hurt to try new comps and setups, especially after how bad they were counterstratted at Berlin.

https://tiermaker.com/list/valorant/valorant-champions-1228666/1737576

Teams in each tier are ranked by left to right (so Gambit > VS > NV > C9)

edit: meant to put NV over c9

posted about 2 years ago

they were 4th place envy, not the envy we see today. you can't say that the nv that lost to v1 is the same as the one that smacked all the other top na teams in berlin

posted about 2 years ago

Really no one thinks the most impactful player on NV is yay? Victor and crashies are definitely good, and I rate crashies as a top 10 player in the world, but yay turned NV from a consistently stuck at 4th place in NA team to the second best team in the world.

also TenZ over Shahzam after Berlin, the igl-ing or individual fragging wasn't that great from Shahzam throughout the tournament
