damn, tenz performing better than leaf in a seeding match a year ago? you really got him there!
XSET have definitely impressed me this playoffs stage and Cryo is definitely shaping up to be a superstar, but I think Vanity has always had a good read on XSET ever since joining C9. Very close game either way.
I don't like the SEN brand or some of its players (zombs in particular), but some of the criticism is honestly insane. Sentinels made big improvements from yesterday where they got rolled by Guard, to today where they played a close 1-2 series to V1, a team that also rolled them 2-0 only a week prior. They changed up their Fracture comp, TenZ played very well and proved he is still an excellent duelist even on the raze, and their teamplay was a lot better than yesterday's game. I'm not sure if it's the pressure or mentality shift, but if they continue the work ethic, they could absolutely bounce back for next stage.
on the other hand the guard are improving insanely fast week to week, by the time iceland rolls around they might be even better
SEN is just a stream team and TenZ has a massive stream, I don't think the org cares at all how TenZ or their team performs in tournaments
SEN coming in last place really shows how much NA as a region has developed since Champions. Can't wait to see which two teams represent NA in Masters
"I guess it's in their blood to be racists?" is literally an inherently racist statement
ah well fuck me
no need to argue with brain damage, man just cherry picked bonecold's worst stats the entire group stage and ignored all the times he went positive
fun? hahaha no. it wont be so fun for v1 fans when their little trash team gets destroyed by icelands masters winners sentinels. this game will be so one sided v1 might disband after they lose 26-0 or 26-4 at best if temz isnt feeling so good. dont ccry later virgin1 fan garbage.
Yeah I feel so bad for Gambit, I think if they were able to play they would definitely have a really good chance of even winning it, really shitty situation all around
I think that NA might have their best shot of winning an international tournament in a long while right now though, with Acend not looking that good, Gambit might not being able to play, and the new meta favoring double duelist and just running in sites
The head-to-head is the tiebreaker, not round difference
If Rise beat NRG and Knights beat Optic, Rise are guaranteed into playoffs
That's what I'm thinking, but does anyone know if it's actually true?
I don't think this should be true because my friend is also pretty consistently doing worse than me
Sometimes when I'm playing valorant with a friend, I'm lower rank, get more kills, better KD, better ACS, better basically everything, my friend is higher rank, and he gets more rr. Does what agent you're playing affect how much rr you get?
I know this is bait but this is the most 0head take ever, basically reads as:
Team A is garbage
Team B beat Team A-level teams, Team B also garbage
Team C only beat Team B-level teams, Team C also garbage
oh and bronzil haha
Yeah maybe I overexaggerated the "huge gap" part, congrats on qualifying and best of luck in playoffs :)
C9 threw 3-4 rounds that map in very uncharacteristic of C9 ways, XSET were lucky that it was as close as 13-10 at the end. XSET might be able to always play close against top teams because they have a very strong map that teams don't ban in Bind, but their map pool isn't strong enough to actually get wins against those top teams. They ban Ascent, have a free loss on Fracture, look pretty average on Haven, and their Icebox and Breeze look decent but not elite. You can't beat a team that's consistently great on 5-6 maps like that.
If you watched that Icebox you could see that XSET could've easily lost by more than 3 ...
It's pretty bad that XSET has a guaranteed loss map in every BO3 then if they permaban Ascent and throw Fracture, especially since their other non-Bind maps aren't insanely strong either
I know all the talk is on 100T but they don't look that bad on fracture, on the other hand XSET looks so sloppy rn. They threw two ecos on defense by just peeking 1 by 1 into deagles, and now on attack there is no trading whatsoever on half of these rounds, just peeking one by one 3 seconds later. Even if XSET win this game there is quite a big gap between them and the best teams in NA.
man is the definition of all brain no aim sometimes, allg though
the round 2 dc-ers so you can't remake, and keep moving in spawn every round
Is there really any point to this game? If what purest says is true Knights are already a lock for playoffs and both NRG and Rise are out, the prize pool is the same too.
You are right that ADR should be included, but because tex takes so many more duels than hazed even if he is losing more % of them he will still have more ADR. If you look at duelist/flexes tex has lower ADR than everyone else except jawgemo in the group stage. tex certainly isn't an awful player but in a region with so much aiming talent (even teams not in the group stage have some insane players), it's hard to believe that tex is the best NRG can do.
Also, your stats include the open qualifiers most of which are against mickey mouse teams, the real T1-T1.5 competition comes in the group stage and sorting by that tex is far lower than neptune. I know that the sample size is a lot less but both tex and neptune have a decent (100+ rounds) of KAYO played, and from that data you can quite visibly see the difference.
It might be a bit unfair to tex as obviously when a team struggles player stats will suffer, but some of his decision-making in particular has been kind of off, taking really risking duels a lot of time.
Out of the eleven maps NRG has played this qualifier, tex has gone negative every single map playing duelist and flex. I know KD isn't everything but there are so many good flexes in NA, it might be time for NRG to make a change
Great stuff, really helpful!
Didn't watch, but was a lot closer than expected. NRG playing well, V1 off day aim-wise or did V1 get read/not play well as a team?
and he was bottom fragging the last two maps? I think he's a good player but a good stat 5 rounds in the game isn't really an arguing point
I don't think Hiko is a bad player or should be dropped but this logic seems kinda ridiculous... if you are playing clutch 200 times you're bound to win at least once
GUARD 2-1, it helps that C9's best map, Breeze, is Guard's permaban
The fact that he hasn''t been recognized until now is criminal... really shows how good Guard's scouting is

Thoughts?
I still think SEN has a decent chance of making masters in NA. They do still have some of the most cracked aimers in NA, and Shahzam's mid-round calling is still really good. To me it feels like most of the NA teams don't have the strats to compensate for the sheer firepower and teamwork SEN has, and they will only get punished for it on the international stage. After all, they did lose to two semifinalists in Champions in extremely close matches, where TenZ underperformed pretty hard.
tyty, does fullmetal alchemist have an aot kind of setting/plot development?
anything, just not shounen unless it's like an aot type of show
obviously no hentai or anything either
Kinda want to get into watching anime again... I'm looking for a somewhat short and sentimental anime (~24 eps or less), kinda with either a your lie in april or steins gate feel, anyone have any recs?
this is the funniest post i've seen on this forum in a long while
Yeah I was probably being unfair to SEN, I appreciate how they experimented with their fracture comp at least. But yay on chamber is kind of just a small swap without actually changing how they play, and for sure their haven and ascent play has been roughly the same since Masters 3, which is why teams are now reading it and know how to adapt.
That's true, and maybe I was being a bit unfair to SEN, since I was mainly thinking about their haven.
