I think you overlook the fact that this VIT core and this EG core haven't existed for more than a year
Meanwhile Sentinels can't even beat EG?
It's so over for Sentinels
I feel like it's unlikely considering their current state
Bro I stopped watching after the BBL vs TL game because that was absolutely boring. What the hell has happened to NAVI LMFAO
It's funny to imagine that this guy probably trusts none of his teammates
EG could never afford Jawgemo, nAts and Potter at the same time lmfao
I hope Liquid management doesn't think that way. So unfair for Jamppi and nAts in my opinion, especially when said rebuild was introducing Mistic and Enzo
Rebuild around Keiko, nAts and Jamppi and we'll be great!
I wouldn't wish the amount of hate certain players receive from vlr on my worst enemy
I think they would've made playoffs if they had Stax from the beginning of Split 1, but yea-- don't think that they would've done anything impressive after that. Genuinely shocking to me that they made Shanghai
Sucks that T1 don't have an opportunity to make Champs this year though
Sayf probably didn't wanna play duelist and in reaction to their bad - mid performance in split 1 + kick off, they have only recently put him on duelist. I just think Salah wanted the best for his players
DRX run out of flowers :C
babysasuke at any opportunity to dump on boaster or fnatic is like that one Mbappe pic that goes "I will be there no matter what"
I would say it's a playstyle thing. So like
Americas --> Faster playstyle, which favours the duelists' individual performance
EMEA --> Slower playstyle, which favours teamplay rather than the duelists' individual performance
But that seems like too much a generalisation and I'm not sure how APAC fits into that
This Gen. G core have only existed for this year so doesn't it seem a little unfair to compare that history? and I don't think it's too soon to call Gen.G the best team in PAC right now because we are talking about RIGHT NOW.
I don't understand valuing domestic competition over international competition
International -- > Higher stakes, trophy on the line, prize pool on the line, opportunity to prove yourself internationally as individuals and as a team and provides an opportunity to build a positive reputation, since more people are watching.
Domestic -- > History used by top teams to experiment, especially when regional competition is poor. Like NAVI last year for example. Gen. G are essentially guaranteed a champs spot since competition is that bad compared to them.
And their history to me is insignificant when Gen.G achieved more in 1 year than Paper Rex did in numerous.
Beating FUT and Heretics whilst simultaneously losing to M8 and KOI is a historic fumble
Preach! Not sure why we're valuing domestic competition over international, when stakes are higher internationally and historically domestic competition has been used by top teams to experiment especially when competition is poor, like NAVI last year.
I don't think GE looks horrid, they've been slowly getting better as the year goes on and I honestly think they're way better than Bleed
Breach supporting a neon somehow makes neon even more broken. I think in that aspect, it'll play out like Haven
Neon Breach because that's what is meta right now
LMFAO! Great argument dude, it's been great!
Literally. At Shanghai teams literally would not scrim them and they just came off a great run at Madrid
I wouldn't be surprised if they do, but regardless, Gen. G also make champs and do better than them lmfao
Dude, Gen. G got the region their first trophy. The only reason in my opinion, that Gen. G would ever struggle in the regular season, is due to time constraints and regardless of that, they still persevere. Beating Paper Rex domestically does not matter when the rest of the team pool from the region is dogshit, they essentially have a free pass to international tournaments, and they know that international competition is more important, hence why they do better there.
We said the same thing about Paper Rex going into Champs 2022. We said the same thing about Paper Rex going into Masters Tokyo. We said the same thing about Paper Rex going into Champs 2023. We said the same thing about Paper Rex going into Masters Shanghai. It is not happening. Gen.G have proved that they got it internationally, whilst Paper Rex have garnered the reputation as chokers.
Who cares? Gen. G achieved more in 1 year than what Paper Rex achieved in 3. Internationally, Gen. G has consistently looked better than Paper Rex, and if they played against each other on the international stage, Gen. G would win, because unlike Paper Rex, Gen. G are not chokers.
So are you valuing domestic competition over international competition? Gen. G have made back to back grand final appearances on the international stage, even winning the latter one. Paper Rex haven't looked great internationally this year, in Madrid they had a decent placement but I think that's purely because competition was poor, beating Heretics at their first international tournament and at Shanghai they were awful.
Who are some upcoming IGLs in NA?
John Quality Tactics
Crazy to think that this dude was like 14 during First Strike
Because they're so unpredictable. They either give you hope and look like they're back in their 2023 form or they're 5 man saving.
