Believe it or not Trophies don't mean everything. Look at Kiles, look at Shahzam, look at Sheydos or nAts. DRX as a core of players have better reputation than any of these people despite the fact that the former have a trophy.
Just because DRX don't have a trophy, does not put them on the same level as somebody who didn't even make playoffs in EMEA last year.

Even though I don't agree with you saying that Victor isn't a good lurk player, I don't think you necessarily need a hard lurk player and I don't think that it always needs to be the Cypher. Marved is great at knowing his lurk timings.
Alfajer is one of the best Cypher players in the world and he hardly lurks because that isn't what his team wants of him.

Multiple Americas teams have been underperforming outside of the Brazil teams. NRG look pretty awful with players who have all looked great before, quite literally fumbling player potential, Sentinels also look pretty rough as of recent (Against EG they looked lost and they made so many mistakes versus LEV) with another roster of incredible players, also fumbling player potential and G2 and EG both look so inconsistent.
Even the teams at the top of the region have had rough showings. KRU have not played a good team and both Cloud9 and LEV looked pretty lost in their matchup(especially on Ascent) - although I think that LEV look way better now. Sure you can say what you want about EMEA, but you can't act as if your region doesn't have an equal amount of messy play.
