the recency bias is strong with some people, i also expected mistic to not do well in champs but he proved me wrong. even without the stats he has serious impact.

best case scenario

love zeta, but no. i feel like the decision they made last minute returning tenn cost them this champs. but who knows really. from their matches as well, it looked like their map pool was weak.

good to see and it's so cool how much they play differently as well.

vamooooooos, hope they can ride the momentum from here!

he's young and already achieved a lot, he'll bounce back!

yes, would be cool to see different regions in top 4. it's also very good for the scene.

but the situation you just stated is of teams playing back to back with almost the same prep time, and if it’s the skill of playing back to back with almost same prep time then sure thats fair. yeah i think the same that even with 1 day prep i dont think fpx beats drx, but who knows? it’s better to know u have at least tried to prep when u know the opponent is prepd as hell. i dont want drx win to look like it was just handed to them, so no one can say drx just got lucky.

posted about 2 years ago

fpx and xset results are fair. they had same prep time no problem with that. securing top seed allows for more days of prep time thats fine as reward as top seed, but not even a day interval for the other team is just too unfair i think.

m3c liquid, oglu g2, liquid g2 had to fight the same day, so there isnt much difference between prep time. it’s not the same situation as fpx back to back game.

drx definitely deserved the win, just saying what the coach said is reasonable. i still think even if fpx had prep drx still wins, but knowing the sched for fpx, cant help but feel bad for them because that shit happened to drx last time as well.

posted about 2 years ago

thats the exact reason why i dont like back to back games, because i know it happened to drx last masters. i think that kind of schedule should not happen, at least a day interval should have been done esp when opposing team had more prep day. what the coach said is perfectly reasonable to me.

nope

m3c wont win

posted about 2 years ago

he seemed like that to anyone tbf

posted about 2 years ago

m3c didnt qualify for a lan this year for a reason. at least they saved themselves for being flamed here in vlr.

posted about 2 years ago

just a tradeoff between the 100t emea slayer and optic emea curse lmao.

posted about 2 years ago

optic looks well prep for the phx comp

posted about 2 years ago

as a fan of drx, it's really unlucky fpx had to play for 2 consecutive days, i think that's organizer fault.

DRX W. looking super good i hope they make it far!

posted about 2 years ago

tl has been weak on bind since forever. they just look good at it due to recent win with edg where they antistrat them, but look at their history and they only have like 2 wins for that this year (imo edg chose that map as well because tl is dogshit on it lmao). if pearl, fracture or bind stay on the map pool, optic easily wins.

posted about 2 years ago

feels like the curse has been slightly broken when fpx dropped a map to optic tho lmao

posted about 2 years ago

maps favor optic. more time to prepare for them as well.
even in their map picks, liquid looks shaky. i don't really have expectations.

posted about 2 years ago

if you look at fpx run closely at m2, you see they beat 1st seed jp, kr, apac, fellow emea teams, and optic. i dont think that's fluke.
prx and fpx are the most studied teams in this tourny, too.

loud didnt play yesterday

posted about 2 years ago

true, but drx owned the map veto as well and has been looking good since the group stage in their maps. massive improvement in mental and role changes worked wonders for them. fpx had been looking a bit shaky too.

posted about 2 years ago

ban it lol, they got owned by xset here too

posted about 2 years ago

for champs it's stax

posted about 2 years ago

mental improved a lot too

posted about 2 years ago

prx for sure is heavily studied by teams, doesnt help fpx had laid the guide. lev is a very good team. respect both teams wth.
