Yeah I agree with that argument but what scares me is this: PRX has looked slightly shaky to me recently, but G2 have looked really bad on Split and Corrode (the only two maps they have lost this tournament) but PRX will likely pick which ever one they don't ban and guarantee a map win which scares me. ------ Also, G2 have played them close a lot in the past loses but always came up short. So, if it goes to a 3rd map like I think it will I am scared they might choke.

I feel G2 in my heart and have jaw and Trent who have been popping off. But why do you think they will win this time when they have lost so many in a row to them?
Current 2nd on VFL. Don't know to go for PRX or G2 in that game, very important. Who will win?

BBL was 28-5 on it including last year. Haven was also their most picked map in Kickoff. Why would Furia not just pick something else they are strong on and let BBL pick it or float it until 3rd map.
Why would they pick Haven, BBL's best map (and most common pick by them) into them first. FURIA's best maps are split and Abyss, which BBL is not particularly great at, or at least weaker than Haven. Idk why these coaches do these, same thing with M8s yesterday, the coaches either just don't look enough into the enemy's map pool and focus on their strengths or they try to cook and fail. But idk what the cook would be here by FURIA, they ran the same basic (and most common) comp on the map and didn't play any differently.
Great call out Herschel, I also noticed that.
Mal sehen, was nach dieser Karte passiert, Kumpel.
Ya but i think its just dumb to try an anti a team that hasnt played in a month. M8 also just ran the same comp they have been and didn't really change anything up. Abyss was their most picked map in Kickoff, but I guess they didn't look as good on it towards the end.
why would you pick haven into NS when they went 13-4, 13-5, 13-4 on it in kickoff vs Abyss (M8 best map arguably) that NS only played once and lost. Feel like it was a pretty obvious pick, it's always annoying when a team tries to cook something up when there is just an obvious pick.
nobody with a brain even remotely thought that

vora plays scan, and flash initiator is hardly played unless its a solo skye which eeiu would play anyways.
Ya it is inevitable that 2 will bomb out if they all lose first round. 100t made top four at shanghai which is still a decent run (bigger arena) but like I said in another response on here I think it is also due to the strongest teams not always being first seed in the region. Also, like I said above I honestly think most of it comes down to individual matchups in playstyle and map pool being the biggest determining factor at least in a majority of the good teams in playoffs.
There was only a one-day break between the end of swiss (and finding out the matchups) and the matches today. But I still agree you shouldn't be that fatigued playing 2-3 b03s, if anything I think the players would be more excited. Realistically this is what they all dream about and play for, they want to play important international matches on stage, so making playoffs is an energy boost if anything.
Ya I agree, realistically it should probably be an advantage, and I think it is dumb in the past when coaches or players from first seed teams have complained because at worst its an even playing field. But I do think that the very first match especially is not as big of an advantage for them, especially when they don't always get a good choice on who they get to play considering the first seed from a region is not always their strongest.
I would say they are probably more excited and hotter than fatigued after winning, and then also getting a small break in between swiss and playoffs.
Ehh, a lot of times it's just the first round that the first seed teams are struggling, and you will see a couple of them make lower bracket runs later in playoffs. I think it's just that for one, Valorant is a game that matchups are super important and so when these teams are playing a new team playing a different style from another region, especially coming off of 2 wins and feeling hot, it is hard to perform well after not playing for like a month.
7/8 first seeds have lost in 12 team master events. I think realistically its probably about even between first seed vs swiss stage qualifiers advantage wise, but history shows that at least in the first round of playoffs they tend to lose.
i think the new map pool will be good for us. Traditionally we have been horrible at lotus but TSM won it their last like 10 times in a row or something to end ascencion so i feel good about that
I think Onur is a fraud and if they want to play the way they are they should replace spike with a more experienced player who is also better on viper because they put him on it every map although it doesn't play to his strengths at all. And Onurs whole career he has been strict and never really succeed having his teams play the way they do. Especially with this current roster you need to let them play into their strengths and let them feel the game and make decisions on the fly. Immi talked about this a lot on a recent C9 podcast and said it is something that took him a long time of coaching to understand and think a lot of other coaches need to learn to let the players play their game more.
they started as a dark horse, but by the beginning of kickoff a ton of people were predicting them to qualify which is insane.
possibly, but they still would just be predicable as they are now. They have an insanely young and inexperienced team, and it was silly people thought that they would be able to do anything meaningful even when neon came back. I think experience in high pressure moments, and important matches is often overlooked in this esport. They had some very questionable decision making throughout the whole tournament.
Also - pxs was not a problem in that match and neon has not been the savior everyone thought he would be. Neon is not the problem himself but they will never make a international unless they make serious changes.
close is generous, and we beat them, and just beat C9 who spanked LEV twice. We were clearly better than that horrible team even if we didn't show up today.
Dur. I don't know if FURIA will be that good long term, and I wouldn't necessarily predict them to make champs, but I definitely won't predict lev to have any real success this year either unless they make a change.
ya we played horrible today and they looked way better. We still were years above LEV. Everyone overrated them bc Sato had one good split and they looked insane in one offseason tournament against Chinese bums.
would have been better to not pick pearl, thats the one thing i dont really understand. NRG looked weak when they didnt have vods to watch but we have played pearl a bunch and not looked spectacular on it. To play it the day before and then pick it into them the very next day when they just watched us play it is very questionable. I would have liked for us to pick something like Breeze, where we have not looked good the one time we played, but NRG has also looked shaky on it. We could have pulled out a new comp, like what GE ran recently to stomp PRX, with a Sage, Chamber, Neon. Sova, Viper which i think fits us and our identity very well and would have totally through NRG off and been a great curve ball.
can we not forget how everyone thought LEV was a dark horse and would qualify and they turned out to be a bunch of chuds.
vora and eeiu play the same roles, both cant flex off really. Only reason we dropped him, bc need vora as igl. vora looking just as good anyways.
also if a team perma binds a map, like eg does for breeze, they are probably not scrimming it barely ever.
very possible. likely that the best team we will have to go against is g2 again at some point. everybody is very beatable, just need to heat up.
exactly, still another part of the bracket and we just need time and will keep getting better.
We have looked good every game. We are a newer team that is building up experience and will keep getting better. Just because we lose dosen't mean that we look bad. Plus there is still a whole other part of the bracket left. Take the flair off u fake fuck.
there are better tier two players who they could sign for cheap
