I don't even speak the language and I like it better than english casting just cuz of how hype they are

I've played league for like 4 years and I can tell you if you implemented a system like that into the current valorant system it would be awful. 30+ agents, then we'll talk.

They do that. It still doesn't make a difference. You have to remember, TSM were #1 in North America during most of First Strike with like 2100 rating iirc, and XSET had about 1600 rating at that time. That's a lot of rating to recover.

To judge teams right now, because it's hard to judge the region, you kind of have to judge teams based on what actually happens in game. Like, can they adapt well, exactly how good is their aim, is their map pool solid, do they have good coordination, just things like that. Based off of an analysis like this, Vision Strikers would probably fall into the low end of Masters. This is especially true because they haven't even played against any teams outside of the region so it would take a lot more effort to prepare. Either way, I would love to see some of their set pieces in action in Masters.

Clawdia is literally a 50/50 almost every game and she is a huge baiter, Osias and potter are shit. EG as an org knew this when they signed the players, they just didn't care.

I'm not arguing that they're top 10. I'm saying that they accumulated a lot of elo/points in the vlr system from months ago, so they are still a top team in terms of the rankings. TSM were first in the rankings for a while and got a lot of important wins in the early stages of valorant. Same for G2, who aren't really a top 10 team, but are also still on the rankings.

I mean TSM was great for a long time. They were first for a while I believe

Well I thought it was two maps, but that works

A duo doesn't have to have a good chemistry for them to be considered a duo.

Probably. Also ABX have experience against Noble, something LG didn't have.

I mean maybe he doesn't know. Wasn't trying to be mean, I even said my own comment lol.

I love version 1, but Victor and crashies are still the best duo in NA (apart from maybe sick and tenz) and they're lighting kids up like it's christmas. Ascent and Bind will both be taken by Envy, not sure which one will be banned. I'm fairly certain Envy bans Icebox, but leaves open Haven, which V1 is probably going to steal. Envy 2-1

This.

As much as I want to hype BBG up, I think their performance was maybe a one-and-done. Happy for them to prove me wrong though. XSET have looked more consistent. They even have identified Icebox as their weakspot, and are always banning it. I think maybe BBG, with enough preparation, could make it close, so, Haven goes to overtime, but XSET wins it 15-13. Next map would be Bind, XSET cleans house. XSET 2-0

If BBG took SEN's spot, then why are they playing XSET? XSET should be the fourth highest seed, putting BBG as the 5th highest seed. SEN would've been first. Also, then, wouldn't C9 take GENG's spot? Or V1 take Faze's spot? No. More likely, the tournament organizers either seeded the last four teams randomly, or asked some sort of expert on how he would rank the teams and that's how they did it. Because in terms of seeding, BBG < V1 < C9 < ABX, so that's not how they did it either. It's not something like Game +- either, because then C9B would be the highest seed and be playing XSET.

Cloud 9's strongest maps are Icebox, Haven, and Split.
Immortal's strongest maps are Icebox, Bind, and Split.
Neither team really likes Ascent, but since IMT really seems bad at it, wouldn't be surprised if C9 left it open.
Wouldn't be surprised if C9 banned Bind. Also wouldn't be surprised if IMT banned Ascent.
This leaves Icebox, Haven, and Split.
Thus, I think C9 have the advantage.
C9 Take Haven and Icebox, IMT take Split
C9B 2-1

Also, what the hell is this seeding???!?!?!?
Why is V1 < ABX < C9 < BBG???
How the hell does that make sense????

100T VS C9

Edit: I'm gonna use this top spot for my prediction too :)
100T bans Split, C9 bans Bind fairly obvious, both teams hate those maps so far
100T's favored on Ascent
I'd say Icebox and Haven are both pretty 50/50, so we'll say 100T takes Icebox for the other map and 2-0's it
100T 2-0

posted about 4 years ago

100T 2-0 with nitr0, Ethan, and Asuna being +40 in kills difference together.

I mostly just root for underdogs, but also 100T. I also like newer teams.

NV VS BBG
XSET VS ABX
100T VS V1
IMT VS C9B

These will probably be the matchups in order.
I think it's most likely to be the top seeds that are going to be the top 4, but we'll see!

posted about 4 years ago

imo, all of these matches are going to go for the favorites, but we'll see. Anything is possible!

posted about 4 years ago

Also I will use this thread just to say the matches based on seeding for those who were wondering and those who were going to create early predictions...
NV VS BBG
100T VS V1
IMT VS C9B
XSET VS ABX

So the reason why there are a lot of upsets, especially from some teams, is that the seeding doesn't really change from event to event. So, matchups like GenG vs C9, FaZe vs V1, SEN vs BBG happen quite often, mostly going for the higher seeds. But, since the lower seeds know who their opponent is almost definitely, they're developing a lot of counter strats. That leads to closer matches and upsets. This was the case even in the NV/Ghost match. Lower seeds are putting in more work for the matches comparatively.

Let's be real, we all know SEN is going to qualify for Chall 2 main event, love em or hate em, and they're probably gonna be first seeded too, dunno how it works tho (does 4-8 teasm from chall 1 get better seed?)

posted about 4 years ago

Lotta throws from both sides, but I'll take it!

posted about 4 years ago

Agreed. I think SSG must've given him a pretty good salary for him to stay.

posted about 4 years ago

roca and pr0phie cracked out of their minds, they will defo go to T1-T2 teams

posted about 4 years ago

Top 4 only qualify for the challenger finals, and the top 2 from that event go to masters. So there's still a lot of games left before they're gonna win it all.

posted about 4 years ago

Cloud9 will win Haven, Icebox, and Split
GenG will win Ascent and Bind
In my opinion
So it depends on map order!
