Thank you for your feedback. I'm still very young, and to be honest I'm not in a position where it's very easy to make friends, so the amount of human interaction I get is not desired. I've still got lots to learn, and I will try my best to "loosen up" in the future.

I do think I've been having "fun" though, as this community has already grown to be a very prominent one in my list of favorite communities to be a part of. I've got lots of people I see as friends here and I care a lot for them regardless of how they act towards me.

Thank you cartixuzi, I will continue trying to be as kind as I can be. I think my downvoters are just shy and to be honest I don't know what I expected.

That I should!

I don't seek to argue with anyone.

That's true! I've been thinking of limiting my comments or setting restrictions to use less words to deliver my messages. I haven't tried it out in practice yet but you could probably expect to see such comments shortly in the future!
It's just a shame how the people who aren't chill about me never say anything about it.

Here's a template to you downvoters reading this, it isn't a big deal but feel free to reply to this and we can work it out:

Hello, my name is (insert name),
I downvoted you because (reason)
In the future, please (insert suggestion)

I'll work to implement your suggestions in my future comments.

Once again, it's definitely due to my misinterpretation of your post, but from what I understood with my limited English knowledge (I'm not native), your point lies in this statement:

"EMEA frogs on the other hand will pray to god that whatever strong team they have in the league will win an international title so they can dick ride them and gloat that theyre the best region despite the fact that they know jack shit about any of the players that won shit at all."

I'm agreeing with your point that EMEA frogs will bandwagon whatever good team without knowing about it.

I agree that my words can be annoying to users but it is hard for me to not type that way.

I think that my ideas are not good and clear when I try to type in another way. Not writing the way I do makes me want to write curse words which are not good.

Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention, Asuna Yuuki, I will make attempts at using simpler vocabulary and sound less like an NPC nerd. Your feedback is instrumental to the way I act on this site and I will do my best to improve.

I made sure to include a tldr, as replies such as "allat" are a common response to my comments.

I disagree with your interpretation of my actions. I misinterpreted your original post (probably due to your brash/semi-aggressive tone). I understood the point you were getting at, and I agreed with it. That's all there is to it, and I can't imagine how I would type things I don't believe in (unless for comedy/joke but this is not the case).

I swear on my favorite succulent that my words are true.

My mission is to "Learn more about Valorant Esports while maintaining a positive presence in the community."

I try my best to present myself with a mostly neutral standpoint in Valorant Esport discussions to provide positive experiences for users who wish to interact with me. However, at my core I am still human and I make quite a few mistakes that might lead to the diminishing of my mission. Additionally, my own morals/ethical beliefs may come into play when writing more personal comments; especially disagreements, and I acknowledge the fact that it can make others feel uncomfortable.

I understand that it's impossible to get along with every user, and there are going to be people who want to downvote me. I use downvotes as a tool to improve on my comments, especially when it comes to my predictions, and it saddens me to see them be used in such an unbeneficial/pointless way, especially when I am not given feedback/criticism on my faults/general behavior.

Despite all that, downvoting me is ultimately a decision the downvoters make themselves, and if downvoting my comments can bring them happiness and positivity then I would be making immense progress in my mission.

tldr: it's okay 😊 I'll still be around regardless of the downvotes

I apologize if I'm doing/saying anything wrong. I often misread/misinterpret certain pieces of information, and I'm working hard to fix that bad habit of mine. I'm just trying to have a conversation, and I think that in plain value is working out quite well, regardless of the content.
To be clear: I agree with your statement that fans who don't take the time to learn about the team they're "supporting" are generally bad and create negative experiences for everyone.
Sometimes I forget that Turkey isn't part of Europe, I have so many shawarma and kebab wraps and interact with so many Turkish friends that at this point it's just ingrained into my mind haha 😅 That's a mistake on me alright.

Nice talking to you, to be honest it's frustrating and saddening to me to see the impact a lot of these EMEA "fans" that don't actually represent the region's sentiment has made such a negative impact on users such as you. I'm sure you made this forum with good intent though, and I'm glad to have had this discussion.
Cheers!

That's a fair reason to move teams. Thanks for telling me!

Oh I didn't know that. I only heard rumors about how there were internal issues in the team. Thanks for telling me!

I wonder who he didn't get along with.

Experience speaks for itself in situations like that. BLG played great during their streak but DRX was just even better.

posted 8 months ago

And with all due respect, would it absolutely devastate you to be a bit more open-minded? You're making negative assumptions about an entire region of Valorant esports and you aren't going to even think about what the people from said region are saying? Stop refuting all of our claims and try to see things from our perspective. I understand that might be hard because of a plethora of reasons, but I guarantee you that doing so will help you understand why EMEA fans are the way they are.

edit: I apologize if I sound aggressive in this I don't mean any ill will.

I agree with froggy_lol. Adding on to his first statement about how vlr doesn't accurately represent EMEA fans, Finland is actually a relatively popular country in Europe with a positive reputation (let's go Moomins!) and pleasant people. Additionally, one of the first things Europeans find out about another European (from my experiences) is what their nationality is, so it isn't strange for an European Valorant esport fan to know the nationalities of their favorite players.

posted 8 months ago

I can't spare some time for that journey at the moment, but I'll see if I can find some examples when the opportunity arises. Thanks happiness_! 😀

Once again, you're making very bold assumptions that are not backed by any facts whatsoever. Sport culture is a very integrated part of European culture, and I can assure you that there are many "real" fans out there. Just because we don't talk shit about our fellow Europeans doesn't mean there is no rivalry shake my head.

posted 8 months ago

That's a pretty bold assumption. People support FNC for more reasons than just "they're goated", and I can tell you that I am absolutely certain that 95% of FNC fans will correctly pinpoint the fact that he's Finnish and chances are that at least 50% of them will know of his Russian nationality as well.

I'm too young to be ingesting alcohol according to the law, but I do have some friends who do enjoy their intake of said substance while playing Valorant.

I just finished with my midterms last week, so I don't really have anything to do today haha... I've been reading and writing ig. Doing my hobbies, probably will play Valorant in afternoon.

Goblet of Fire is in my opinion Rowling's worst book in the entire heptalogy. The books after it were amazing though but GoF is a sad filler with a unique idea/concept that deserved better planning/execution.

I'd say Team Liquid is getting overlooked a lot this season no? They've got a young Apeks core that has looked pretty decent!

I appreciate that. It's a big Valorant world with many different opinions/perspectives and I highly respect your efforts to keep it gucci.
